The Congo was in a brutal six-year war that killed over four million people, and destroyed physical and social infrastructures. Schools have been dismantled, making the Congos youth the biggest victims of the war called The Worlds deadliest war, by Time Magazine. There is a humanitarian imperative and a sense of urgency to rebuild the ravaged country, including the dismantled American University of Kinshasa also known as Universit Franco-Amricaine de Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The vision of the University is to serve as a bridge between Africa and the US, Canada and the International community. It promotes exchanges and partnerships for the mutual benefits of people on both sides. VOLUNTEER - TAKE ACTION: Volunteers are needed to get the word out online about our YOUTUBE VIDEO on the humanitarian imperative and a sense of urgency to help rebuild the War-torn Congos University. The ultimate goal is to bring the youth back to the classroom again. As a Volunteer, you will send messages to friends, family members, universities, students, student clubs, faculty, philanthropists, athletes, celebrities, religious groups, non-profit organizations and business people, post online information and link to the Vide facebook, myspace, youtube, emails, blogs, and websites.
