Age: 21 Years Breed: Belgian Gender: Female Color: Gray Description: Brandy is an extremely sweet belgian mare that was dumped on me b/c her previous owner could no longer afford her. I work way too much and have only enough time for my orginal horse. Brandy is 21 yrs old but she acts like shes about 12. I was dumb founded when her previous owner told me how old she was. The only sign of her true age is the gray on her face and obviously her teeth. She loves children and people and loves to be the center of attention and shows her displeasure when shes not. She loves to be groomed and ridden. Ive only had time to ride her a few times and it was bareback each time. I had a 12year old riding her bareback at the trot and canter and she was great for her. When i first saw her she had a 3year old on her bareback being walked by an adult with just a lead around her poll and she was AWESOME!!! I've been told she is bomb proof on the trails and very sure footed, she def. needs some exercise to get back into shape. She can be hard to catch but thats because shes been in a herd for over 2years not used. Once caught she is no problem, nothing a little bit of work wont do. In the 15years her previous owner had her she had one lameness issue and it was caused by a nail left in the pasture that she stepped on. She quickly healed and has had no issues since. This had taken place about 5years ago. She also had a little eye infection but it healed quickly with a triple antibiotic (no steriod). Over all she is a very easy keeper she gets 2 quarts of grain in the moring and 1 at nite and gets about 4 flakes a day. Brandy is a sweet horse looking for a caring home. She is a MUST SEE!!
