Description:This peaceful, charming, well-cared for, sun-filled townhouse with everything you will need for a fabulous DC-area vacation or business trip can be yours! I've priced it below market because it comes with two great pussycats who will need your care including their daily walks! I’m seeking kind, gentle, responsible, loving soul(s) can be person/couple w/older child who loves/knows cats & is will gladly spend a minimum of 30 minutes a day caring for them. If that is you, please continue, and I’ll give you the details at the end. While I'd ideally like one person/couple, I'm open to two situations: a two week stay and a one week stay. My home: This townhome in a lovely, quiet, tree-lined, very safe townhouse neighborhood in Montgomery County’s most affluent suburb, close to Washington DC fabulous museums, restaurants and entertainment. Friendly, walk-around area nestled in trees. Great tennis courts, close shopping, transportation. Very spacious 3 bedroom, 3 baths. You will have access to the main floor and upstairs. Basement is occupied by a gentle, very quiet NIH scientist whom you will rarely see. Laundry Room/Basement: Washer/dryer is located there & easily accessible. Main Floor: Cozy & comfy modern décor, wood floors w/lovely carpets. Recessed lighting. Granite kitchen counters/modern appliances/very well-stocked eat-in kitchen, bay window, filtered water tap. Lots of books including cookbooks. WiFi throughout house. DirectTV/movies flat-screen TV with video/DVD player. Sitting room next to kitchen Deck and Zen Garden: French doors in back lead to beautiful wooden deck surrounded by trees, quiet, lovely, replete with table, chairs and umbrella overlooking rock garden with gurgling water feature, flowers/small trees where you will be soothed and relaxed after a long day as you enjoy a glass of wine, or listening to the birds in the morning with your coffee/tea! Sit in the garden glider for two. Dining room has view of deck and yard. From kitchen watch the jays, cardinals, finches, and doves eat and bathe if you'd care to to feed & water them as I do. New windows throughout house, screen doors allow breezes front to back through the house. 3rd Floor: MBR is very large, inviting, beautiful, uncluttered, with extremely comfortable Queen sized mattress. 600 count Egyptian sheets, thick absorbent towels, blankets, and down pillows. Small BR w/Xtremely comfy bed is available but cat comes with it at night. Neighborhood: Dedicated parking space in front. Walk to great shopping center (restaurants, food shopping, drugstore) that adjoins development. Bus line 2 minutes away, fabulous restaurants and the best shopping in DC within 5-10 minutes, Washington DC 25 minutes by car/metro has major museums, entertainment, restaurants. NIH 10 minutes. Pussycats: two 15 year old boys,domestic medium-haired, sweet, friendly, happy, and in great health, no meds. They have been leash-trained since kittens. They can roam free in the fenced in backyard, exiting through their cat door. Otherwise they are on leash w/you or leashed or in cage out front, with supervision. They are the loves of my life. They must be brought in at night. Smokie is completely at home by himself but may enjoy snuggling w/you at night if you bring him upstairs (won’t come uninvited), Skeezix should be put in the small bedroom w/closed door. I feed only raw food & little canned, no dry. Therefore, must be fed twice daily. Litter is pretty much a non-issue as they do their business outside. References required. This romantic and elegantly furnished house has a very welcoming feel. Just 90 minutes away from Athens, it is the ideal solution for families and couples year-round with breathtaking views and swimming, snorkeling, wind-surfing, kite-surfing, water-skiing, hiking and sightseeing opportunities. Entering the house on the 2nd floor is a comfortable living room with a wood-burning functional fireplace, a dining area with a table that can sit 6-8 people, a fully equipped open kitchen with electric stove top, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and coffee maker as well as a small washroom. Through the living room you can exit to the large covered balcony (20m2) with breathtaking views of the Argolis bay. Description:This recently remodeled home is nestled among an oak grove, a waterfall garden and a vineyard in the hills above Stanford University. Across from THE Mission (Mission San Francisco de Asis, with the famous cemetery from Vertigo), steps from the Castro. Flat, sunny, central, and awesome. Rates 94 out of 100: Walker's Paradise from walkscore.com. Two blocks from Dolores Park and the fabulous markets and shops of 18th Street and the Valencia Corridor. Transit-oriented: Five-minute walk to 16th Street BART J-Church streetcar on the corner. On the 22 bus line. Good access to bike lanes, FLAT! Great amenities in the immediate area (within 4 blocks): Laughing Lotus Yoga, Mission Beach Cafe (delicious brunch!), the historic Castro Theatre, Four Barrel Coffee, Bi-Rite Market, Delfina, Tartine, and many more wonderful restaurants, shops, cafes and live music venues. Apartment is on the first floor above a stoop, up off street level. Windows to the front have a peek of Sutro Tower and the Mission basilica. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has a comfortable double fold-out sleeper sofa (good for use as bedroom or as living-room extension with the parlor doors open). Split bathroom. Full-length mirrors! Big eat-in kitchen with small rear deck. Kitchen has a table for 4, gas range, oven, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator with ice machine and filtered water, laundry machines, dishes, cookware and bakeware. The rooms have been slightly rearranged and some furniture added since the photos were taken, but it is basically a very accurate representation. Be prepared for city noise and apartment/neighbor noise. YES Wifi, small TV monitor, DVD player, iPod dock, computer with guest account NO Cable TV, stereo NO PARKING included, street parking is challenging. However, it is extremely convenient to several modes of public transit. You do not need a car at this location—not even to get there from the airport. This property also can be rented as a 2 bedroom 1 bath.. The kitchen has all high end appliances Sub Zero refrigerator, Meile dishwasher, Wolf stove, and a filtered water system. The neighborhood is the best area of Venice beach, very quiet and safe. A 1 minute walk to great restaurants, cafes, and shops on Washington Bl.. Santa Monica pier amusement park and 3rd Street Promenade shopping Mall is a 10 minute drive, the Marina Del Rey is 2 blocks away, the historical Venice Canals are 1 block away, and we even have a great surf spot a block away. The cottage has all quality linens/towels, we also have DSL, 3 plasma TV’s with Direct TV/HBO, DVD, local phone service, washer/dryer, fax, beach chairs, body boards, fishing pole, and bikes can be rented for $50 per week. 1 car garage for small to medium sized cars. Description:KITSILANO COTTAGE, the structure, is a heritage designation qualified 1910 Craftsman bungalow, typical of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. It has been meticulously restored and ethically upgraded to provide modern living convenience while maintaining architectural integrity with its origins. A SUITE @ KITSILANO COTTAGE has been operated as self-catered suite property since January 2000. It is a single, upscale, self-contained, garden level suite, of approximately 825 sq. ft. There are two bedrooms. One has a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. There is a queen sized sofabed in the living room. For parents of young children or infants, we can offer the use of a convertible highchair/child's activity table and chair, as well as, a collapsible playpen. The latter is often used as a cot for infants. Please note, we do not provide linens for the playpen, finding parents are usually more comfortable using their own. For larger groups, we can provide one single bed size self-inflating/deflating airbed with linens. The Suite's furnishings are a blend of antique and authentic hardwood reproductions in the Craftsman, Arts & Crafts, Mission or, as our guests from the United Kingdom fondly refer to it, Macintosh style.
