The bath is equipped with a tub and shower and is located centrally in the apartment. The layout is perfect for adult couples or a family. While there is broadband internet (wired and wireless) in this apartment, there is no telephone. However -- for a small fee -- we will provide you with a cell phone with unlimited local and long distance calls within the U.S. and Canada. For your convenience, we have installed a combination deadbolt lock on your door which we program to your own unique entry code number before your visit (so no key required for interior apartment door). COLUMBUS CIRCLE, PENN STATION, MACY'S, LINCOLN CENTER, CARNEGIE HALL, EMPIRE STATE BUILDING, MUSEUMS, CENTRAL PARK ETC.. all an easy commute via subway. The A express subway is one block away while the 1 train is three blocks away. Make sure you watch the video tour - right click on screen to have full screen during this tour. Upon booking, we will provide you with free orientation materials to help you plan your NYC trip, identifying fun things to see and do as well as help you navigate the City easily. This will include directions on getting to and from the local airports and instructions on how to drive in NYC without going insane or getting towed. We will also provide you complimentary copies of pertinent subway, bus and Central park maps. There are nearby public parking garages (average is $25 per day). For an additional charge, we can arrange for a driver to meet you and your luggage at the airport baggage claim area and bring you both in a Lincoln Town Car or stretch limousine to your front steps. The area is a VIBRANT UPPER WEST SIDE MANHATTAN NEIGHBORHOOD. Check your Zagat guide for great restaurants and shops walking distance from the apartment including The New Leaf Cafe, Jessie's, Blue, Hispaniola, Emilou's, to name a few. Also Riverside Park is three blocks away and is GREAT for biking or walking along the Hudson (bike rentals a few blocks away). We have rented this apartment twice (2008 & 2009) with another couple and have been impressed both times. We loved the apartment so much that we got married in NY last May and used the apartment for our honeymoon suite.... The apartment is located in Upper Manhattan, in between two subway stops and many bus stops. It is a five minute walk from the Hudson River and some great shops and restaurants. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need to have a very enjoyable stay in New York. The owner is a excellent resource to help you with your stay in NY. If you rent this apartment you will not be disappointed. Kent and Meg were WONDERFUL with all the' pre-trip questions and believe me I had many!! I felt so prepared as we set off to conquer NY--they provided us with SO much info, parking, eating, points of interest, subway links/info all within blocks of the apt--the apt was very clean and comfortable --- we have stayed at many locations using and I really have to say this was the best experience we have had---we drove to the big apple and this apt was very convenient to so many areas of NY, parking in the area of the apt was very doable---if our travels take us back to NY, I will most defintely see if this rental is available- **NOTE: host requires $200 refundable deposit
