There are lots of characters on the street at any given time. I do not feel unsafe living here, but I pay attention—as one should in any big city setting. Although the building is extremely quiet, there can be a significant amount of street noise. If you are bothered by city noise and energy, this may not be the place for you. No parking except paid garages - but because of the central location you won't need a car anyway. Two musts: no smoking and no pets.
