Eat out, cook your own food, or sit back and relax while a chef prepares your meal right on the estate. n n(7 hectares) nThis Palladian villa was built in the second half of the 16th century by the noble Marcello family of Venice. A well-preserved example of Renaissance architecture, the 16th century complex is structured with a central main building flanked by arcaded wings. A large, independent three-story apartment in the left wing is available for rental. It is furnished with antiques, period paintings, and objets d 'arts that have been in the family since the 16th century. The apartment was restored in 1990 and partially refurbished in 2003. Most rooms have original parquet floors and ceilings with plaster moldings. The bathrooms are done in hand painted Vietri tiles and have new fixtures. A member of the Marcello family resides in a separate part of the villa and is available to welcome guests and offer assistance during their stay. Outdoor amenities include a classic Italian garden with a fountain, Greek mythical statues, flower beds, and lawns. The park (7 hectares) is fully enclosed and is framed by rows of hornbeams, limes, and oaks. Outbuildings include a dove cote and chapel. There is a large fish pond with running water and woods with century-old trees. Description:As you drive through West Dry Creek Valley and up Jack Pine Road, you enter the property and have a circular driveway and 3 carport stalls for parking. There are three notable areas on the property, one being the main home, to the right the guest house, and to the left the play area. n nAs you walk to your left, you arrive at the play area, featuring bocce ball court, ping pong table, and play room -- great for crafts or coloring for the kids. This area also leads left around the main house, where you can enter the back area (in the kitchen), master bedroom, or pool area. n nBack to the entry and into the main home, down several stairs and into the front door to your left are 2 guest bedrooms, with 2 twins and 1 queen, an up several steps is the master suite, featuring his and hers sinks, bathtub and large shower. The master has a deep queen bed, writing desk, large flat screen tv, and balcony for views or yard access. n nBack to the entry of the main house, the first presentation our guests will notice is the modern and sleek design of the entire property. Lots of glass and metal accents in every area. A large glass front door greets your entry, multiple windows to let in the gentle breezes are everywhere. n nTo the right of the entry is the living room, family room, dining room and kitchen. The living room features a number of built-in cabinets with tv, stereo and dvd systems, enjoyed in comfortable sofas and chairs. n nContinuing to the kitchen, polished concrete floors and countertops have been installedfor ease of use and cleaning convenience. A wonderful gas cook top and hood are part of the kitchen island, and over sized refrigerator is great for groceries and cool drinks. An extra long dining table accommodates all 8 guests, and family room opens up just off the dining area for casual conversation or evening coffee/​cocktails. n nThrough the kitchen area and out the double doors our guests are presented with the in ground pool and spa, outdoor shower, outdoor built in kitchen, gas firepit and multiple areas of seating, shade, or sunning. The entire property is 7 acres, with several areas of gardens and pathways. The views of the valley are very nice, while sitting, swimming or outdoor dining. n nThe separate guest house is a mini-retreat, with living room, queen bed, full bath and kitchenette.

Description:Face it-- when you rent a villa in Greece, you're going to spend most of your time outside. It's not that you don't find the interior of this Greek island villa rental on Alonissos attractive... but its exterior areas are so fantastic that it's hard to compare! Lovely shaded gardens for reading a book on those cloudless sunny days, a wooden terrace for enjoying your morning tea, and a pool with an amazing sea view for when you just can't wait to get down to the beach. If you never left the property, this Greece holiday island villa would still be a vacation in itself! n nOn the green island of Alonissos, set into a hillside, Villa Kolpos is flanked by stone walls and has a rooftop garden. Thanks to these architectural elements, the villa blends in well with nature and compliments the natural curve of the hillside. It features modern, comfortable decor and authentic objets d'art and Asian antiques. Floors are polished concrete. A teak deck surrounds the house and continues out to the salt water swimming pool, which overlooks the beach and bay of Steni Vala below. The island of Peristera can be seen in the distance. Next to the kitchen and living room there is a barbecue area furnished with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. Villa Kolpos enjoys a peaceful, isolated spot above the village of Steni Vala (5 minutes). There are many small tavernas in the village and a few small grocery stores. Water taxis depart from the port in high season, offering service to the island's many beaches. From the bottom of the property, a footpath leads down to the beach (6 minutes) and continues on to Steni Vala (4 minutes). The main port town of Patitiri offers a full selection of shops, supermarkets, and restaurants. It is a 20-minute drive from the property. Due to the steep drops from the terraces, this property is not recommended for children under 12. n nThe enormous living/​dining room has tall windows covering nearly every side of the room, with views in all directions. There is a fireplace and glass doors leading to a teak terrace which runs the full length of the house. From the living room, a doorway leads into the open plan kitchen. An antique Indian cupboard serves as a central island. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. Off the kitchen there is a small alcove with a bathroom (shower). Down the hallway, there are two double bedrooms. One has an en suite bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms have access to the front teak terrace, where dividing walls offer privacy. An exterior stone staircase leads down to two additional double bedrooms with separate entrances and en suite bathrooms with showers. Between them there is a connecting door which can be locked or left open. There is a large patio with a view. The patio has a small summer kitchen with refrigerator, sink, and gas burner.
