A well-preserved example of Renaissance architecture, the 16th century complex is structured with a central main building flanked by arcaded wings. A large, independent three-story apartment in the left wing is available for rental. It is furnished with antiques, period paintings, and objets d 'arts that have been in the family since the 16th century. The apartment was restored in 1990 and partially refurbished in 2003. Most rooms have original parquet floors and ceilings with plaster moldings. The bathrooms are done in hand painted Vietri tiles and have new fixtures. A member of the Marcello family resides in a separate part of the villa and is available to welcome guests and offer assistance during their stay. Outdoor amenities include a classic Italian garden with a fountain, Greek mythical statues, flower beds, and lawns. A Disney entrance is only 5.9 miles away. Sea World, Universal, and the Convention Center are approx. 15 minutes beyond that. Four major waterparks and hundreds of less well-known attractions are all within a short drive of your home. The Atlantic Coast Beaches, like Cocoa Beach or Daytona Beach are only about an hour to the east. The Gulf Coast Beaches around Tampa/St. Petersburg are only about an hour to the west.

Description:Casa Ix Chel - A Tamarindo Family/Large Group Vacation Home n nStep through the gates of Casa Ix Chel and you'll find yourself in a tropical garden containing many species of tropical flowers and fruit trees including coconuts, bananas, papayas and lemons. Walk up the path to the home and you will find the swimming pool, which has a shallow section designed for lounging submerged, and the outdoor eating area, surrounded by palms and bougainvillea. n nThe home stands 3 stories tall. The architect used many curved lines and lots of exposed wood, so there is definitely a nautical feel. Enter through the front door and you'll find the first living room, a great spot to read and relax. There is a small bar that connects with the large kitchen. The dining area has a picture window overlooking the pool and gardens. The kitchen is brand new, and has a six burner gas stove, range hood, dishwasher, two basin sink, and a large refrigerator, all stainless steel. You'll find the master bedroom on the first floor. It has a king size bed imported from Java. The master bath has a double vanity and a shower with hand molded tub. There is also a powder room the first floor for guests and wet people. n nMake your way to the second floor and you'll find the second living area. There is a television, sitting area and a large wrap around porch overlooking the pool and gardens. There are two bedrooms on this floor, one with a king and one with a queen size bed and both with private bathrooms. n nThe third floor is home to the crow's nest. Here you'll find 2 bunk beds, each with a double bed and a single bed.
