Description:Our house is on a quiet leafy street moments from the cafe and dining hub of Fitzroy. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and open plan living on two levels this is a spacious inner city pad. One of Melbourne's hottest cafes is 5 minutes walk away and there are 2 gastro-pubs at the other end of the street. A train and tram to the city are 2 blocks away and there are bike paths along the river into the city 2 minutes ride away. Downstairs is an open plan living/dining area opening onto a leafy courtyard. There is a bright, spacious home office/3rd bedroom set up with two desks, printer, scanner and our 100 year old upright piano. The downstairs bathroom includes shower, toilet and laundry, and the kitchen has a gas stove, microwave and walk in pantry. Upstairs are two bedrooms, the master bedroom with a king size double bed opens onto a sunny deck overlooking the trees and has built in cupboards and an ensuite bathroom with full size bath. The second bedroom is spacious with built in cupboards and windows looking towards the river. Based in the inner city 'village' of Abbotsford, we are 5 minutes walk to the peaceful woodland bike trails along the edge of the Yarra river. Also less than 5 minutes walk away is one of Melbourne's best cafes serving all day breakfast and great espresso coffee. Less than 10 minutes walk away are the Vietnamese restaurants of Richmond, the cafes and bar scene of Fitzroy, the upcoming dining precinct of Smith St, Collingwood and the design and cafe hub of Gertrude St. We are also only 10 minutes by bike from the University of Melbourne and the Italian quarter of Lygon St. Despite being so close to the action, Abbotsford has the feel of a village with tree lined streets, corner stores and local pubs. We are one block and a walk across a park from a train station which takes less than 10 minutes into the heart of the city. At the end of the street are trams also running into the city or out to the shopping centre and movie theatres of Richmond. Our house is furnished with possessions collected from our travels all over the world and furniture made by local designers. It's set up for entertaining and you will have the run of the whole house, the only conditions are no smokers and no pets.
