Description:Inner city Melbourne is famous for its laneways and 'hidden' bars and it doesn't get much more inner city than this. Sadly at the moment it's also noisy during the day time due to nearby construction work. During this time all daily, weekly and monthly rates have been reduced. If you intend to be out and about during the day this will be great value for you! Stay in the centre of Melbourne's CBD in this huge warehouse apartment, close to all public transport, theatres, restaurants and shopping. Walking distance to AFL, Soccer and tennis stadiums, as well as Arts, Docklands and Southbank/Casino precincts, Brunswick Street and Smith Street shopping, Lygon Street and Chinatown restaurants. This is one of two double bedrooms available in this two storey warehouse conversion. These rooms, which share one large bathroom, are well sized and fully furnished. ( 1 room can be booked via Roomorama also). Guests have access to the whole house and all facilities including a full kitchen, separate laundry, rear courtyard, large living and dining areas. Internet is available and a laptop PC is also available if needed. There are hundreds of books to read and DVDs to watch but you'll be far too busy as the house is only minutes walk from Melbourne's best restaurants, bars, galleries, gardens and shopping, including the Victoria Market. The house is occupied by myself and one very laid back dog called Roger. I work full time and also study part time and am generally only around for a couple of hours in the evening. Please note that this is a 25 year old conversion in a 150 year old building so not everything is 'shiny and new', it is however very large and comfortable. Cheaper rates for weekly and monthly rental are available, just send an enquiry through the booking screen. Trams and trains are right outside and the area is serviced by a number of airport bus services. There is no parking attached however there are two commercial parking facilities within 50 metres and several more within a block or two (be very careful if trying to park on the street in Melbourne, as there are tow away zones which change during the day).

Description:Our house is in an idyllic enviornment..Hibiscus Lane is a tree lined one way lane running parallel to the beach and located just 100 meters to the water. The view is just gorgeous, not only ocean but also mountain views across the Cairns inlet. It is beach casual and furnished with lots of local artwork and classic antiques. There are two bedroom downstairs to choose from. The front one facing the sea is very large with both a king and double bed..sleeps 4. The double room has private access from the back garden area and is very charming..sleeps 2. If both rooms are taken , the downstairs bathroom, toilet and laundry would be shared. Guests have their own living area with TV, CD's, stereo, games and heaps of books. Wireless internet is included. You are also welcome to access upstairs including the sunroom (we fight for the daybed) and the deck...great for alfresco dining, drinks at sunset or breakfast with the birds. I love to cook and am happy to provide a cooked breakfast or dinner but need 24hr notice. Prices are as listed. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen facilities and condiments. Holloways Beach is the second closest beachside community to Cairns, approximately 13ks. There is a local bus service located for guests who prefer publ,ic transport..2 minute walk from home. The area really is a recreational delight with attractions such as the famous Skyrail Cablecars, Tjapaki Aboriginal Theatre and Cablski just 5 minute sby car. From this point you have the choice of coastal or mountain travel. Drive 15 minutes up to Kuranda Village and spectacular Baron Falls, then on to the Tablelands. The coastal drive takes you to Port Douglas, Mossman, The Daintee and Cape Tribulaton via an array of tropical beaches such as Palm Cove and Ellis Beach. Paradise Palms Golf Course is located just 15 minutes north and for the young at heart , a great Go Cart track just minutes away. So much to see and everything is an easy one day trip from Holloways Beach. Or just stay at the beach and enjoy swimming, beachcombing and just lazing around. A pleasant five minute walk either on the beach or along the lane will bring you to a Cafe with complete beachfront dining or you have a choice of takeaways at the little hub located close by. BBQ's are another option located in the park on the waters edge. We welcome the opportunity to share our local knowledge and our house with you while respecting your privacy.

Converted plumber's workshop. No doors anywhere (bathroom excepted). Three levels. Large, quiet downstairs double bedroom. Raised mezzanine platform over main space. Most walls whitewashed for healthy climate. Adequate cooking possibilities. Simply furnished. According to visitors the space has an easy, friendly and comfortable feel to it. We think so too. We lived in this unusual space for 11 years before moving into the conjoined house. There also exists a very popular, small overflow second bedroom with a 1,4m wide, good quality double bed. But you need to negotiate the availability of that separately as we sometimes need it for ourselves. Total internal floor space of the loft proper is over 100m2. Water glimpses and garden views. VERY quiet, yet only 10 leisurely minutes on foot to Salamanca market (and fine supermarket), the harbour (Mona ferry/bus terminal) and the Hobart CBD. Good cafés and bakery nearby. Coles / Woolworth 6-8 mins in the opposite direction (Sandy Bay), using the fitness promoting steps of Nanny Goat Lane. Parking: If regular unlimited spots are not available you can always park over the driveway that leads straight down to your loft. Deutsch, Français, Italiano spoken. Battery Point retains a village atmosphere and is part of the must-see areas of Tasmania. We are happy to help with ideas for sight seeing and activities. Welcome!
