The Saualm area and the Zirbitz area offer a lot of places for excursions. Toboggan run for use in summer, adventure fixed-rope route for the whole family and guided horseback riding in just 13km from the hut. Shopping in Bad St. Leonhard in 12km. 5 km from the hut there is is a 4-star-hotel where you can use the indoor swimming pool, the spa area and the tennis court for a fee and on request.
