Located one block up the hill from Dolores Park in the Dolores Heights/Liberty Hill Districts, this beautiful flat was built in 1915 and has been meticulously renovated. It is centrally located, a stone’s throw from Noe Valley’s 24th Street, the Castro, and the hip Valencia/Guerrero/Mission Street corridor. Behind the updated Edwardian façade, you’ll find a spacious, 1600 square foot (149 square meters) flat filled with natural light. There is beautiful period detail, combined with refinished hardwood floors and designer lighting throughout. The spacious living room has peek a boo views of the City and is equipped with a flat screen TV, Blu Ray DVD player and iPod docking station. Choose from over 200 Direct TV channels, including HBO! Adjacent to the living room, separated by sliding pocket doors, you’ll find a large sitting room, complete with a desk and twin size daybed which sleeps one. There are two spacious bedrooms, located at opposite ends of the flat for ultimate privacy! The front bedroom boasts a queen size bed and the rear master suite has a king size bed. Description:Warm, sunny, clean top-floor studio in a historic building. Terrifically central downtown location. Ideal for 1 person or a couple. (Maximum # of guests is 2). Bright and colorful apartment with a very comfortable queen bed, and a living area with love seat and lounge chair. High ceilings, hardwood floors, and entire west walls have large windows in both main room and kitchen. Separate full, eat-in kitchen with a table for 4, gas range, oven, toaster, kettle, blender, microwave, full-size refrigerator, filtered water, dishes, cookware and bakeware. Roomy bathroom with large claw-foot bathtub and shower. High speed wireless internet, small flatscreen TV with DVD player (but no cable), no stereo but have speakers you can plug into your laptop or iPod. Coin laundry on site. More about the convenient downtown location: Ideal location for exploring San Francisco. Within one block of 6 major bus lines (the 38 Geary, 47 Van Ness, 49 Mission, 19 Polk, 2 Sutter, and 3 Jackson routes). 10-minute walk to local subway (BART) and streetcar (Muni) lines (both at Civic Center station). 15 minute walk to Union Square, Theater District, Nob Hill, Civic Center, Opera House and Symphony Hall. Fancy live music? I'm a block away from the Great American Music Hall and the Regency Ballroom, and short walks to the Warfield, Civic Auditorium and the Fillmore. If you need a gym, 24-Hour Fitness is 2 blocks away. The apartment is on the border between two neighborhoods (and two worlds, really): Polk Street is a hip spot for nightlife, restaurants, galleries, cinemas and shops the Tenderloin is a 'colorful', intensely urban neighborhood. There are lots of characters on the street at any given time. I do not feel unsafe living here, but I pay attention—as one should in any big city setting. Although the building is extremely quiet, there can be a significant amount of street noise. If you are bothered by city noise and energy, this may not be the place for you. No parking except paid garages - but because of the central location you won't need a car anyway. Two musts: no smoking and no pets. Description:This recently remodeled home is nestled among an oak grove, a waterfall garden and a vineyard in the hills above Stanford University. It's perfect for traveling families and groups, as well as startups visiting Silicon Valley or conducting off-site meetings. The home is convenient to I-280 (5 mins away), Stanford (10 mins), Sand Hill Rd (7 mins) and both San Francisco (35 mins) and San Jose (25 mins). It's very close to Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Woodside, Mountain View and Los Altos. In addition to all the amenities inside the home, there's a full tennis court, basketball, and in warm weather a pool, hot tub and sauna are often available (please confirm availability before booking - these are sometimes unavailable). A private half-mile walking trail encircles the property and a network of public hiking trails are available just outside the fence. The self-contained house includes a kitchen, dining area, living room and 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom features a luxurious brass & iron queen bed fitted with 400-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. There's a DVD/VCR and TV as well as a walk-in closet, dresser and full-length mirror. The second bedroom has a twin bed and dresser. The third bedroom serves as an office with a convertible loveseat that can sleep 1-2. The bathroom features a marble floor and granite slab on the sink and the shower. There are extra towels, pillows and blankets as well. The full kitchen includes granite counters, premium cabinets and modern appliances: range, 2 ovens, microwave, dishwasher, disposal and full refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker and filtered water. Dishes, cups, silverware, pots, pans and utensils are available. There's plenty of counter prep space. In addition to the dining table, there's a bar-top with four stools. The living room features a 36 HD TV with DVD/VCR and surround sound and a library of movies. There's also a Playstation 2 with several games to enjoy. There's also a selection of books, toys and movies that are appropriate for young children. The home has plenty of natural light and includes its own heating, air conditioning, full-sized washer and dryer and plenty of closet space. Just off the tennis court is an outdoor patio with table, umbrella and chairs. You'll have your own driveway and parking accessible through an automatic entry gate. The surrounding area is popular for walking, running, hiking, cycling (road and mountain), and horse-riding. It's quite beautiful and rustic despite being minutes from I-280, Sand Hill Rd, Stanford and Palo Alto. Shopping and dining are minutes away, either in town, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, or beyond.

Across from THE Mission (Mission San Francisco de Asis, with the famous cemetery from Vertigo), steps from the Castro. Flat, sunny, central, and awesome. Rates 94 out of 100: Walker's Paradise from walkscore.com. Two blocks from Dolores Park and the fabulous markets and shops of 18th Street and the Valencia Corridor. Transit-oriented: Five-minute walk to 16th Street BART J-Church streetcar on the corner. On the 22 bus line. Good access to bike lanes, FLAT! Great amenities in the immediate area (within 4 blocks): Laughing Lotus Yoga, Mission Beach Cafe (delicious brunch!), the historic Castro Theatre, Four Barrel Coffee, Bi-Rite Market, Delfina, Tartine, and many more wonderful restaurants, shops, cafes and live music venues. Apartment is on the first floor above a stoop, up off street level. Windows to the front have a peek of Sutro Tower and the Mission basilica. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has a comfortable double fold-out sleeper sofa (good for use as bedroom or as living-room extension with the parlor doors open). Split bathroom. Full-length mirrors! Big eat-in kitchen with small rear deck. Kitchen has a table for 4, gas range, oven, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator with ice machine and filtered water, laundry machines, dishes, cookware and bakeware. The rooms have been slightly rearranged and some furniture added since the photos were taken, but it is basically a very accurate representation. Be prepared for city noise and apartment/neighbor noise. YES Wifi, small TV monitor, DVD player, iPod dock, computer with guest account NO Cable TV, stereo NO PARKING included, street parking is challenging. However, it is extremely convenient to several modes of public transit. You do not need a car at this location—not even to get there from the airport.
