Description:We are a compound of five cottages nestled in a half acre backyard wildlife refuge one mile from the ocean. All the cottages have been renovated and have either antiques from Sri Lanka or vintage rattan and wicker. You will think you are at home . . . and you are . . . your own little home in Hollywood. Wifi, 220 channels of direct tv, grills, bikes, beach chairs are all included with your cottage. Two of our cottages have 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Two are studios. One other garage on site is actually our painting studio. If you are an artist, you are welcome to join the fun! The larger cottages include a king size bed and either 2 twins or 1 double bed. We can easily sleep 14 if all the cottages are rented. Hollywood is a sleepy little town that hasn't changed a lot since it came into being in the 20's. Our little cottages are some of the first ones built, this area use to be tomato fields. You will catch a glimpse of old Florida with us! And love it!

It offers full kitchen capabilities, separate bathroom with shower - stocked with plenty of towels and washcloths, comfy full-sized Murphy bed, cozy infrared fireplace, internet access, satellite, 32 HD TV, double reclining love seat, elegant little bistro set, outdoor grill and picnic table, and much more. (To be clear, upfront, we do not cook you breakfast, but we will be glad to stock breakfast food in the studio refrigerator - the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal.) This is one of the most peaceful areas in Jacksonville to take a walk or ride a bike a jogger's dream. A short walk through the area's beautiful neighborhoods will take you to the St. John's river. The Avondale shopping village is only a bike ride away, with its many quaint shops and fabulous restaurants. Our main house is very modest and we are not fancy people, but we are good hosts, and will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible we won't bug you. We are only a 25 minute drive to the beach. There are other amenities available that we can discuss if you book. One small to medium well-behaved dog is welcome, with an added fee, but no cats.
