Add to that numerous outdoor areas (shaded and sunny), plenty of room for outdoor dining, and bedroom balconies, and you have a recipe for paradise. n n(1,000 m2 total, including terraces) This villa is composed of two buildings, each a fully independent residence with living room and kitchen. nMain Building nGround floor: In the larger building, the entrance is into the living room, with a view of the sea. There are couches and armchairs for ten people, a fireplace, a 42-inch plasma TV, DVD player, and state-of-the-art sound system, including surround sound. On the right of the living room there is an interior dining area with a table for 8, and a large, fully equipped kitchen with two refrigerators. On the right are the stairs leading to the first floor, an elevator, and stairs leading to the basement. There is a twin-bedded room with en suite bathroom with shower and access to a terrace. nFirst floor: The master bedroom has electric beds, a TV, a dressing room, an en suite bathroom with shower, and a beautiful view of the sea from the terrace. nBasement level: Here you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom for the personnel. In addition there is another twin bedded room for guests, including an en suite bathroom with shower and access to the outside patio. There is ample storage, as well as rooms with additional refrigerators, a freezer, and two washing machines. Air-conditioning units have been installed in the rooms on the first floor and the ground floor of each house. nSmaller building nGround Floor: The living room is on the right, with couches for six people, a TV, and a DVD player. Directly ahead there is a fully equipped kitchen. On your left there are stairs to the first floor and the basement, and a door leading to the two ground floor bedrooms. These bedrooms have walk-in verandas from the outside. One bedroom has a double bed the other has twin beds. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with showers. nFirst floor: The master bedroom has a double bed, TV, an en suite bathroom with tub and handheld shower head, and a veranda with a beautiful view of the sea. nBasement level: The basement has two twin-bedded rooms, one with windows to the exterior and the other with a large window overlooking a small private garden. There are also storage areas. n nThis wonderful, beach-front property is located about 10 km west of Porto Heli in an area called Agios Emilianos, where there are many luxury villas. The nearest small town is Kranidi, where you will find banks, a police station, a post office, a library, and a square. Porto Heli, a little further, is a picturesque town with a natural port and wonderful beaches. Description:You may think there 's not much of an art to relaxation, but we beg to differ: elegantly furnished, this villa rental on Corfu offers endless possibilities. You could simply stay indoors and enjoy the comfort of this Greece holiday island villa, but why not spread a blanket in the garden and take a nap? Or stray just 500 meters from this Greece vacation villa and spread your blanket on the sandy beach. A little too warm? Slip into the water and float on your back, letting the gentle waves carry your troubles out to sea... n nThis three story villa is situated on a hillside in a quiet spot. It is surrounded by two acres of land planted with a variety of trees and flowers. The large structure has two tiled verandas, and offers panoramic sea views from every floor. A private road (150 m) leads to the villa, which is accessed via a remote controlled gate and there is ample parking within the grounds. The villa is equipped with an alarm system. There is a small path that leads to the beach, which also has access to a swimming pool at one of the local hotels. n nGround floor: The entrance hall leads into a comfortably furnished living room with fireplace and entertainment equipment. There is one bedroom with a single bed and a bathroom across the hallway, complete with tub and handheld shower head. The kitchen is off the living room, and is equipped with an oven, microwave, washing machine, and dishwasher. A dining area has seating for 6. There is a partially covered veranda running outside the kitchen and living room, equipped with garden furniture. nFirst floor: There is a long corridor with entrances to the bathroom and two bedrooms. The shared bathroom has a tub and handheld shower head. There are two double bedrooms, both with 160 cm queen-size beds, oak floors, and air conditioning. A second partially covered veranda is on this floor, as well as a balcony. nSecond floor: This is also an attic space. There is another living room here with air conditioning and a sofa bed comfortable for one person. A smaller kitchen with oven is here, as well. One double bedroom with 160 cm queen-size bed and a large storage space are at one end, while there is one shower room at the other end. n nWith this villa being only 500 meters away from one of the safest beaches on the island, you will want to spend a great deal of your time there. Located on the eastern part of the island, facing mainland Greece, you will find calm seas, as opposed to the western side, with the swells of the Adriatic Sea. You can eat at one of the restaurants located right on the beach, or frequent any of the gift shops, restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, and other stores located in town, less than 300 meters away from the villa. It is a very safe and pleasant stroll along the picturesque road, with almost no traffic. If you chose to explore further, Corfu is just 13 km away. There is frequent bus service between Dassia and Corfu. In the old historic town of Corfu, you can visit Old and New Fortresses, Church of Saint Spiridon, or The Royal Palace of Saint George and Saint Michael. For more adventure, go waterskiing, windsurf, ride a jet ski, or take a boat trip to mainland Greece, or to Paxos and Antipaxos Islands. The land is accessed from the road via a large sliding motorized garage door, operated by remote control, as well as a smaller side door (If you don’t need to enter/exit with a car) -THE LOCATION, AND THINGS TO DO The picturesque town of Aegina with its multitude of bars, cafés and restaurants is just 2,5 km away from the house, approx.30 minutes of easy walking, or a short bicycle ride. Two bicycles are provided free of charge, just call us in advance if you need more so we can arrange bicycle, scooter or car hire. You MUST explore the road which passes in front of the house, and runs along the seashore from the town of Aegina right to the tip of the island where the fishing village of Perdika is situated. The total distance is about 12-15 kms of mostly level road dotted with small harbors, beaches, bars, cafés and seafront restaurants. Wherever you stop for swimming, refreshments or dining, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the islands of Agistri and Moni, and the Peloponese mountains reflected over a beautiful sea. From Perdika you can also take a small boat for a short hop to Moni island for swimming. If you don’t feel like moving too far, you can swim right in front of the house, (Just open the garden gate and cross the road for a cool splash ! 2 beach umbrellas and some lazychairs provided). We also recommend walking 100 meters to AQUA LOCA, a beautiful organized sandy beach with bamboo umbrellas, long chairs and a fully licensed bar that also serves food. (Operates only June to September). The water is warm and shallow, safe for toddlers and small children. The bar also operates at night, and you can enjoy your music and drinks right there on the sand, lying on the long chairs looking at the moon reflected on the water – an experience not to be missed… After having explored the town of Aegina and its antiquities, take a taxi or bus to the famous Aghios Nektarios church, the monastery of St Catherine and the ancient temple of Afaia Athina nearby. Continue towards Aghia Marina with its sandy beach and multitude of hotels, bars, cafes and restaurants and on your way back be sure to take the road which runs along the northern shore of the island, giving you spectacular views of the Saronic gulf and the lights of Athens and Piraeus in the distance. You must give this excursion a full day. Of course, if you prefer, there are guided tours of the island as well. While in Aegina, you can also visit the small island of Agistri (about 3,5 nautical miles away) for a full day of swimming and exploring, or take a boat to the beautiful Poros island (only about 1 hour away) Another MUST DO if you are in Aegina in the summer, is to go to the open-air cinema for a movie. Once common in Greece, they have become more and more sparse in the last decades, but you can still find a choice of three(!)in the town. Films are first rate and very recent. There is no stereo Dolby Digital 5 channel sound with Super Subwoofers, but you sit in the open, every two chairs separated by a small round table, and you can watch the film while drinking your cold coke or orange juice or eating potato crisps, pistachios or even your souvlaki ! (Tip: make sure you have put a mosquito repellent lotion on you bare arms and legs – that way any mosquitoes present will sting all the others but you!). Last, but not least, other activities include snorkeling, diving (there is a diving center in Aegina), music and dancing bars (several) sailing school for children, sightseeing, bicycling. Aegina is superbly suited for vacations of families. It is quiet enough for the older members, while having enough activities and nightlife for the younger ones to enjoy themselves. ================================================================= -FAQ (Frequently asked questions) -Q: Would I feel safe in Greece? There have been news on TV with angry demonstrations, rioting, even fires. I wouldn’t want my family caught between demonstrators and riot police ! -A: Nor would I want to. I have also seen news on TV about angry demonstrations and riots in the UK, people smashing shop windows and clashing with the police. That doesn’t mean the UK is not a safe place to visit. Firstly, demonstrations (which do NOT take place as often as you might think)are usually incident-free, besides they only take place in Athens. Secondly, they are always very concentrated, as they ALWAYS take place in Syntagma Square, in front of the parliament. So even in the extremely rare probability that you find yourself in Athens (either staying for a few days, or en-route from the airport to Aegina or back) and coincide with a demonstration, just kdon't go to Syntagma Square – it is REALLY THAT simple. ! -Q: Can I bring my dog or cat with me? -A: Pets are welcome. -Q: Is smoking allowed? -A: Smoking inside the property is not allowed. You will be outside the house almost all day anyway. If you really need to smoke, please do so on the balconies or verandas. -Q: There is NO POOL ? -A: No, there is NO POOL, because quite frankly there is no need for one. A pool is indeed an asset, but is basically a consolation prize if your house is far from the beach. (It also gives you something nice to look at, if the house has no view.) If your idea of a dream vacation on a Greek island it to rent a house inland, sit on a veranda and stare at a pool, swim in chlorinated pool water, or have to drive or take a taxi to the beach, this is not the house for you. Besides, a beautiful house right in front of the beautiful sea seems a little odd with a pool, or at least makes you think about the owner’s taste. -Q: The house looks fantastic but there MUST be a catch. The price seems too low for what it supposedly offers. Where exactly is the catch? -A: There is no catch. This is not a rental property for people to stream in and out and create maximum profit. We are not looking to squeeze every possible penny out of it. It is our house, we have enjoyed the best times of our lives in it and we still do. Unfortunately our work in Athens only allows us to enjoy it for a few days every year. So we want to share it with others who will appreciate it, and at the same time the revenue helps us pay for its considerable expenses (mostly tax nowadays!) -Q: I have a thousand more questions, can you cover them all? -A: Most definitively YES, but not here. Description:This summer (and spring and autumn) house is 150 km from Athens( by car ferry boat) or 210 km (by car, crossing the Chalkis bridge) on the island of Evia.It is situated on the slope of a small hill, it is surrounded by pine trees and has a wonderful view. It is 80 meters away from the sea. There are no discos, restaurants or coffee shops around, the beach is sandy and very quiet. It is 13 km away from Edipsos, a famous spa city known from antiquity. During your stay, you can visit the Thermae Sylla Spa and try different types of treatment. The village Gialtra, where you can find most of the basic shops plus a pharmacy, is on the top of the hill, within walking distance (10 to 15 minutes). The house itself is 70 sq.m., it is furnished with taste but has no particular amenities. It is the ideal place for people who want to live for sometime in simplicity and enjoy nature, hiking (the place is surrounded by forests), swimming (the sea is very safe, as it is a small gulf) or surfing. Since we have decided to opt for an alternative way of life during our vacation, there is no television, computer,internet connection, telephone or any other electronic devices. However, if somebody feels the need to get again into contact with civilisation, there is the nearby city of Edipsos. A car is necessary! The house is composed of a living room with two balconies and an open kitchen and two bedrooms(one with a double and one with twin beds). There is one bathroom with shower box.

Description:In a great location on the edge of Kokkino Chorio village and very popular with guests who return year after year, Villa Arianna is a detached, 2 bed/ 2 bath villa. It stands in a large private plot of approx 1,000m2 and has far reaching views of The White Mountains and sea views across Souda Bay to the Akrotiri peninsula. The lounge/diner has a large dining table with chairs to easily seat 6, an attractive open fireplace, two double sofa beds and extensive fitted cupboards for clothes storage (for guests occupying the sofa beds on the ground floor), occasional furniture housing the hi-fi system with a selection of CDs, a TV with separate DVD player and for children, a playstation with a selection of games. Two sets of double doors open up from the lounge on to a shaded, covered terrace, the gorgeous sea views and then on to the pool terrace. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both of which are on the first floor. Both bedrooms are well furnished with hanging and drawer storage and both have direct access to a balcony with sea views. The family bathroom with bath, shower, wc and basin is on the first floor. There is another 1st floor balcony which faces the mountains, this is a perfect sun trap and private retreat. Outside, the gardens surrounding the villa are becoming well established with mature olive trees and a variety of flowers and shrubs, the garden is fenced and gated making it a safe haven for families with children.
