Description:Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy and covers an area of approx. 370 km2. It lies in the north of Italy between Venice and Milan. It has both old charming villages and modern towns with all manner of facilities. It provides a very versatile holiday destination, where you can find peace and quiet, a wealth of opportunities for excursions and wild nightlife, not to mention the somewhat challenging experience of visiting the famous theme park Gardaland. Today the lake is considered one of the best places around for hang-gliding, paragliding, windsurfing and mountain biking. Pleasant climate and fantastic countryside. nThe cities of Verona, Mantova, Trento and Brescia are easily accessible by car or train. nLazise is a pretty little town on the south shore of Lake Garda. Here you will find monuments from the Roman period, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The city has a very nice historic center with restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.
