It's close to the main town of Breckenridge where there are lots of places to eat, shop, see and do. There's a lot of night life in Breckenridge as well as places to get pampered in a Day Spa! An awesome town and a wonderful vacation condo to enjoy while visiting Breck! nSleeps 8 (6 in beds 2 on sofabed) with one full bath with separate sink area. nIts just a 25-45 minute drive outside of Breck to other ski resorts like - Keystone, A Basin, Copper Mtn, Vail, Beaver Creek, and Loveland. Guests to Shippon Roost with limited mobility will find this charming cottage very easy to access, with parking immediately outside both of the front doors. r nHallway with 3 bedrooms and bathroom off. From the hall, 4 steps up to airy sitting room with Villager stove on stone and slate hearth. Small balcony with French doors overlooking the courtyard and valley. Rear views to Arenig mountain. Various special exhibits and performances are scheduled throughout the year. Atrium Gallery in the Bataan Memorial Building (the former State Capitol Building) at 407 Galisteo St. features the Touching Beauty exhibit of sculptures by Michael Naranjo. Naranjo lost his sight, the use of one arm, and most of the use his other hand in the Vietnam War. Nevertheless, he pursued his sculpture. A unique aspect of this exhibit is that you are encouraged to touch and explore the bronzes with your hands as well as with your eyes. The gallery is open to the public at no charge during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Santa Fe Food:Tasting the local food can be one of the most memorable parts of traveling. Northern New Mexico cooking is known for green chile, which comes in a variety of types from mild to blazing hot. And ordering chile, whether red or green, may get you a very literal result: a bowl of chile, no beans, no meat. You can get those, of course . . . you just have to specify that you want them. Restaurants will bring you a taste of the chile on request, so you can calculate whether it is hotter than you want before you order. “Smothered” on a menu refers to having a chile sauce poured over the item, for example, over a burrito. The “New Mexico State Question” is “Red or green?” – referring to what type of chile you want with your meal. If you answer “Christmas” you get red chile on half the plate and green on the other half!
