Description:This private and immaculate A-frame style home is ideally located on an acre bluff of the mountain side with sweeping ocean and mountain views from the southeast through the western directions. Golden granite columns and rock retaining walls, the paved driveway and decking in combination with the privacy afforded by the impressive Cypress hedge encircling the property and mature landscaping all contribute to the feel of estate living at its best. n nThe comfortable and inviting living space of this 2-level home is 3,200 sq. ft. The upstairs master suite (15 'x17 ') has a pellet stove fireplace, a California king size bed and its own private old growth redwood walled bathroom with skylights and separate shower and tub areas. The upstairs guest suite (11 'x16 ') has a queen size bed, mirrored closet doors, skylights and its own private marble tiled bathroom with pedestal sink and glass enclosed shower & tub. The downstairs master suite (15 'x16 ') also has a pellet stove and a California king size bed as well as its own private bathroom with shower & tub. The bedrooms are all spacious enough to accommodate additional bedding in the form of folding extra long twin beds with 3 memory foam mattresses or a queen size aerobed or tri-fold futon cushions when needed. The downstairs office also has a convertible sofa that can be made up into 2 extra long twin beds or 1 king size bed. (Please be sure to complete and return the Sleep Arrangement Form to the office 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. n nA large screen HDTV with a surround sound system is in the living room complete with Dish Network premium programming (local, sports and news channels, access to pay-per-view movies, HBO, Showtime, etc.). There is a BluRay DVD player & small DVD library, a VHS player, a 6-disc CD player & CD library, Sirius Satellite music and a Play Station with several games. (Sorry, operation of the indoor hot tub is complicated and therefore, is not available for guest use.) The extensive patio and deck areas offer patio tables with chairs, lounging chaises, additional chairs, a garden bench, umbrellas, a chiminea and patio heater for the ultimate comfort and enjoyment of outdoor living and dining. n n**Children must be supervised by an adult at all times during your stay.** nThe mountain lake shaped pool is completely private and sheltered by the Cypress hedge on one side, the fitness room on the other and a glass windbreak which effectively creates a series of picture perfect framed views of the gardens and ocean. Heating provided by solar panels and the solar pool cover make the pool swimable during extended warm periods of the year, usually sometime in April through as late as October. The neighborhood is mostly second home owners and there are virtually no other rentals for blocks, allowing a quiet, serene and extremely tranquil stay..plenty of parking on the street and three parking spaces on property...Entry is at mid level, so only half a flight of stairs is necessary to bring you home. For the golf enthusiasts, the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links is just around the corner. Ralph Lauren linens on the memory foam queen futon sofa allow you to fold up the bed and convert it to a sofa for more space during the day. Nice thick towels and soap, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. Breakfast, $10 per person, and lunch and dinner, $15 per person, allows one to eat organic meals in their private room! Description:Simple. Comfortable. Cozy (only 250 sq. ft). At one time an artist's studio, the cabin/bungalow has been decorated with a local artist's work in addition to a few antiques and quirky collectibles. Ten minutes walking distance from downtown Carmel, the cabin is situated near and overlooking the Pebble Beach Forest in a residential neighborhood where you'll find yourself very close to nature . . . with an itinerant colony of woodpeckers on the property and squirrels to amuse. SPRING FLING BOOKINGS thru the end of May. Two night minimum unless the day before we haven't been booked. Single nights on the weekend (Friday and Saturday) can be booked the preceding Thursday of any particular weekend. Oh, and by the way, for those of you who haven't guessed . . . our cabin has HOT and cold water, indoor plumbing, heat, TV, broadband internet, and we provide a Continental breakfast of sorts . . . coffee, tea, fruit, yogurt and biscotti! No kitchen is available, but there is a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee pot. The Cabin is located on the same property as our family home, but totally separate and 50 steps from the main house. We're long-time residents (my grandmother and grandfather lived in what is now the Carmel Art Association Gallery), so we're knowledgeable about the area and able to help you find a masseuse, hire a pet sitter, and locate some of the many unique spots guidebooks don't mention. Also, we can accommodate a third person on a very thick futon ($25/visit). We are Pet Friendly but must charge an additional $25 for each pet during your stay (please note . . . Carmel is very pet oriented . . . walk the beach with your dog off-leash, and you're able to go to many restaurants and bars along with any well-behaved Fido). If you're visiting California's central coast for the first time, you'll find Carmel and the surrounding area an idyllic haven boasting nearly 100 miles of spectacular shoreline - described as the greatest meeting of land and sea. The unbridled beauty of Carmel and Monterey County's landscape and the mild, year-round weather offer endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits, from hiking, kayaking, and mountain biking, to golfing at legendary Pebble Beach. Family-centered activities abound, as children and adults revel in exploring the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, watching the great migration of gray whales, or visiting the natural history museum in Pacific Grove.
