Description:Just steps away from the New River, Riverhaven offers its guests the serenity of flowing water, the beauty of hillside and meadow views, and the fun of hiking, fishing, canoeing, and tubing. Grill dinner on the large deck, followed by a campfire on the banks of the river. Look at thousands of stars, and in the morning watch the mist float down the river. Easily accessible in all seasons, the cabin is a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, or West Jefferson, and in winter months, a 40 minute drive to the ski area of Sugar Mountain. Inside, the beautifully decorated river house has gas log fireplace, 27 TV/VCR/DVD Satellite in the family room, and 19 TV/VCR in one of the bedrooms. The master suite offers a king size bed and access to the deck outside. There are many board games, puzzles, books and movies. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, and many small appliances including coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, crock pot, etc. There is a washer dryer in the home, and the sofa coverts to a queen bed for additional sleeping. Outside the home, you have access to a private hot tub and ping pong table on the lower level. A nice fire pit with built in benches is located on the banks of the river. Other outdoor amenities include regulation horse shoe pit, volleyball and badminton. There is a gas grill located on the large deck overlooking the river, with table, chairs, and rustic benches made by a local craftsman.

As you walk into the cabin you are greeted with a nice open floor plan featuring the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern neccessities including D/W, stove, microwave, toaster, coffe maker, blender, all your cooking needs...the works! The living room is very cozy and a perfect spot for sitting around the wood burning fireplace with a stone chimney that rises up to the ceiling. Above you, the second bedroom looks out over the living room. The loft dons a comfortable queen sized bed. In the master bedroom, on the main level, you will find a plush king-sized bed, a nice-sized closet, and bay window. The master bathroom adds a nice touch with a jacuzzi bathtub for two as well as a separate shower. As if that is not enough, you can head down stairs to a great recreation room where there is a pool table, foosball, dart board, a TV with dvd player, a third full bathroom, a futon and a roll away cot for 3 more sleepers. Complete the ambiance with a nice wood-burning wood stove. The ammenities are endless....you can 't forget the 6 person hot tub just off the recreation room, the covered front deck with sitting room and a gas grill, the view of Seven Devils. After a long day of skiing , biking, fishing, or hiking Grandfather Mountain or the Blue Ridge Parkway, a nice soak in the hot tub is the perfect end...
