The name is reflective of the location of the properties with one vacation home located in the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains and the other situated on oceanfront of Kure Beach, North Carolina. This year we are featuring our luxury vacation rental home called Forest Ridge located near Jefferson/West Jefferson, North Carolina. The home is located high atop a ridge overlooking Mt. Jefferson, the New River and the Jefferson Landing Resort. The house is a part of the Jefferson Landing Resort where guests have access to the resort facilities and many activities which include: Golf Course Tennis Courts Swimming Pool Exercise Facilities Spa Services Club House Fine Dining For outdoor enthusiasts, the Blue Ridge Parkway is just minutes away where you can explore some of America 's most beautiful landscapes. The area offers a wealth of other outdoor activities that can be pursued nearby including: Kayaking Canoeing Mountain/Road Biking Hiking This beautiful home offers spectacular views from every area of the house. As an example, from the large rear deck you can see the New River meandering just below the deck and Mt. Jefferson rising up from across the valley below. Many pleasant hours can be spent on the enlarged deck in rocking chairs enjoying the view. So, if you 're geared up for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, or even catching a game of Appalachian Football, Southern is close to it all! As you walk into the cabin you are greeted with a nice open floor plan featuring the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern neccessities including D/W, stove, microwave, toaster, coffe maker, blender, all your cooking needs...the works! The living room is very cozy and a perfect spot for sitting around the wood burning fireplace with a stone chimney that rises up to the ceiling. Above you, the second bedroom looks out over the living room. The loft dons a comfortable queen sized bed. In the master bedroom, on the main level, you will find a plush king-sized bed, a nice-sized closet, and bay window. The master bathroom adds a nice touch with a jacuzzi bathtub for two as well as a separate shower. As if that is not enough, you can head down stairs to a great recreation room where there is a pool table, foosball, dart board, a TV with dvd player, a third full bathroom, a futon and a roll away cot for 3 more sleepers. Complete the ambiance with a nice wood-burning wood stove. The ammenities are endless....you can 't forget the 6 person hot tub just off the recreation room, the covered front deck with sitting room and a gas grill, the view of Seven Devils. After a long day of skiing , biking, fishing, or hiking Grandfather Mountain or the Blue Ridge Parkway, a nice soak in the hot tub is the perfect end...

The master suite features a king-size bed and heated tile flooring in the bathroom, this especially nice on those chilly mountain mornings. The second bedroom offers two bunk beds with the ability to sleep 5 more comfortably. Both bedrooms have their own televisions. The kitchen has everything you need and overlooks the den with a stone fireplace with gas logs. Outside, enjoy a private hot tub that seats 8 and looks out over the property. There is also a gas grill provided. Wireless internet is provided. We are confident your stay will be an enjoyable one and we hope to have you return on your next trip to the High Country. Pets are accepted on a case by case basis with prior authorization required. As a reminder, 4WD or chains are always a good idea when visiting in the winter months.
