It is small, intimate, romantic and has everything you need including 2 Monterey Bay Aquarium passes and wine tasting passes. Guests are greeted with a bottle of wine or sparkling cider and hors d 'oeuvres. The cottage is tastefully decorated with white, ocean blues and earth colors. Whimsical sea shore themes are carried though out the cottage. n nThe open room concept features high beamed white washed ceilings, a wood burning fireplace with gas starter, a small but new kitchen and dining area. The living area is tastefully furnished with a woven sea grass sofa, chair, dining chairs and bar stools. There is a 42 Flat Screen LCD-HD with Blue Ray Plasma D.V.D player, a library of video 's, inspirational books, magazines and information on the local area 's delights. n nThe kitchen has been recently updated with granite counter tops and is small yet has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal with wonderful dishes, glasses and table settings. The appliances are like new and include a refrigerator, gas stove / oven and dishwasher. There is a breakfast bar with 2 sea grass bar stools, perfect for a quick bite or talking to the cook. n nThe master bedroom has a small balcony with flowering pots, gas fireplace and a King Bed with high-end linens and beautiful bedding. The King bed can become two twins if needed and the room is large enough to accommodate a porta crib (not provided) or aero bed (provided). n nThe bathroom has a tub/shower combination with beautiful blues and yellow colors and top quality towels. n nThere is a washer and dryer located downstairs in a separate area. No stairs, no common walls. Easy access. Totally private. Open space behind the studio....lots of sun and a beautiful old oak tree are your only companions. Brand New Furnishings. Original art. Contemporary interior - old Spanish exterior. Tastefully decorated and immaculate. High Speed WiFi, Flat Screen TV with many premium channels (HBO, etc) many music choices. We provide coffee/tea, soft drinks, bottled water, snacks, even a welcoming bottle of wine. Queen Bed (brand new memory foam). Luxurious linens. Love seat folds out into a twin bed for a third person. (Could work for four if it's a family and one child could sleep on a futon we can provide.) No steps or stairs. West of Highway 1 and about a half mile from the center of Carmel. Ideal location to be in Carmel and have fast access to all the surrounding area attractions - Big Sur, Monterey and its famous aquarium or into Carmel Valley for wine tasting, antiquing, etc. We're happy to offer you early check in and late check out if we're not booked before/after your visit. Otherwise it's in at 3 and out at 11. Owner lives in main house nearby. A long time resident happy to help you with concierge services - where to go, where to eat, etc. We can arrange a massage (in the studio), a beach bonfire, a pet sitter, whatever. We can share some information about the Carmel area that many guide books overlook.

Description:Simple. Comfortable. Cozy (only 250 sq. ft). At one time an artist's studio, the cabin/bungalow has been decorated with a local artist's work in addition to a few antiques and quirky collectibles. Ten minutes walking distance from downtown Carmel, the cabin is situated near and overlooking the Pebble Beach Forest in a residential neighborhood where you'll find yourself very close to nature . . . with an itinerant colony of woodpeckers on the property and squirrels to amuse. SPRING FLING BOOKINGS thru the end of May. Two night minimum unless the day before we haven't been booked. Single nights on the weekend (Friday and Saturday) can be booked the preceding Thursday of any particular weekend. Oh, and by the way, for those of you who haven't guessed . . . our cabin has HOT and cold water, indoor plumbing, heat, TV, broadband internet, and we provide a Continental breakfast of sorts . . . coffee, tea, fruit, yogurt and biscotti! No kitchen is available, but there is a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee pot. The Cabin is located on the same property as our family home, but totally separate and 50 steps from the main house. We're long-time residents (my grandmother and grandfather lived in what is now the Carmel Art Association Gallery), so we're knowledgeable about the area and able to help you find a masseuse, hire a pet sitter, and locate some of the many unique spots guidebooks don't mention. Also, we can accommodate a third person on a very thick futon ($25/visit). We are Pet Friendly but must charge an additional $25 for each pet during your stay (please note . . . Carmel is very pet oriented . . . walk the beach with your dog off-leash, and you're able to go to many restaurants and bars along with any well-behaved Fido). If you're visiting California's central coast for the first time, you'll find Carmel and the surrounding area an idyllic haven boasting nearly 100 miles of spectacular shoreline - described as the greatest meeting of land and sea. The unbridled beauty of Carmel and Monterey County's landscape and the mild, year-round weather offer endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits, from hiking, kayaking, and mountain biking, to golfing at legendary Pebble Beach. Family-centered activities abound, as children and adults revel in exploring the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, watching the great migration of gray whales, or visiting the natural history museum in Pacific Grove. Join us for a true get-a-away-from-it-all, quiet and comfortable visit ... you'll find your stay uncomplicated and relaxing! Something most people don't know about Carmel is that the weather in the fall and winter is usually SPECTACULAR. It's sunnier, warmer and my favorite time of year. When I was younger(much younger), I'd be surfing in December. Now I just wish I could fit into that old wetsuit.
