Description:Welcome! This apartment will suit a short term eco conscious traveller and visitor to Sydney. The room is fitted with a double bed, in build wardrobe, writing desk, and shelves. I live in a modern 2 bedroom apartment in Redfern, complete with a full equipped gym (5 minute walk to Central Station (city centre), Redfern station, close to shopping centre, pubs, restaurants, amenities). Ideally this would suit an easy going, down to earth, eco friendly, vegetarian friendly traveller(s). Non smoker and mature traveller(s) who are sensible and clean up after themselves. I look forward to meeting interesting people on their journeys through Sydney. If you are booking with me, please write more about yourself, the reason you're visiting Sydney and add a picture of yourself too. I'd like to know who I'm sharing my space with. :) House rules: 1. Enjoy and always bring a smile during your stay! 2. Try to live more sustainably this means no plastic bags in the house. I can provide green bags. 3. It would be nice if you could reduce or avoid eating meat if possible. Not strict with it, but I think its healthy having a vegetarian diet at home. 4. No dryer only hand dry clothes. 5. Buy fresh where possible, and not tinned or packaged. 6. Food scraps is recycled in my worm farm and compost bin in my building. 7. Don't expect brand new furnishings and top designer household items. 8. At times, the extra couch is also leased out short term, so bear that in mind. 9. Expect fruit flies during summer it is beyond my control..

Each room has its own distinctive character while the shared rooms feature an eclectic mix of modernist furniture, re purposed items and eco friendly materials. Nestled within the leafy end of Hall Street, it is designed to provide a balance between private room accommodation and a social experience. Each room provides something different whether you prefer to look out on the gardens and tennis courts to the rear of the property, or enjoy the morning sun and bird song from the garden rooms to the front. The Gatsby is a large second story bedroom which overlooks the tennis courts towards the rear of the property. The room has a wall to wall window and enjoys a view of a huge Jacaranda (beautiful Aussie purple flowering tree) and native gums that attract the local Kookaburras.
