Halfway between Assisi and Siena, close to Perugia and Cortona, we are near the village of Passignano, yet situated in the absolute tranquility of the countryside, surrounded by fields and forests. Don't miss the opportunity to taste our home cooking, to experience italian recipes in our daily menu! Available on demand vegetarian menu or special dishes: fish or eels from the Lake, real “Fiorentina” beefsteak, cooked on an open flame, and local wild boar when in season. Our facility is family owned and operated, we can be fully available to meet all your needs during your stay!In the 1500’s San Cristoforo was the parish church for the Pian di Marte valley. On this same site at the beginning of the 18th century a new church was built along with the rectory. Over the years the other buildings that make up the complex were added: the country house, the drying shed for tobacco and other farm buildings. The country house and the tobacco building have been transformed into guest housing, with the classic farmhouse external staircase giving access to the two upper floors where there are 10 rooms, each with a private bathroom. The animal stalls and storage from the original ground floor barn are now a large common living room with an country fireplace that consists of 3 century old stonework, a small anteroom and a dining room. Additional farm buildings have been modernized to create guest rooms, each one with independent entries, and two of them are equipped to accommodate handicapped guests. All the annex rooms have direct and independent outside access, so we can easily welcome guests with animals.

The sunken living room which views the private back yard features a cathedral ceilings, big bamboo furniture, TV, VCR, and a fountain. The secluded back yard has an outdoor shower and is large enough for outdoor games and a patio for barbecuing. There is also a bedroom on the lower level with queen bed and a family room for the kids. Wake up with the birds singing outside your window and the wonderful tropical smells wafting through the air. Keauhou Golf Course and beach are only 5 minutes away! The 16-foot by 30-foot pool is situated inside the home on the large lanai overlooking the ocean, Kona, and Hualalai Mountain. All bedrooms have TV, cable and a refrigerator. There is also a full-size laundry room. The home is situated at 800 feet above sea level in an upscale neighborhood that is quiet, safe and has plenty of parking.

One, known as Kots House, is a 2-story, 4-bedroom, 2-bath home built in the late 1800's and recently fully remodeled. It will sleep 9 people. The other, known as Kots Studio, is smaller, also 2-story, 2-bedroom, 2-bath, and will sleep 4 people. Each has its own private yard.The larger Kots House (4 bedrooms) features 1 California King bed upstairs, 1 regular King bed downstairs, 1 Queen bed upstairs, 1 Double bunk bed downstairs (the bottom bunk bed is a double bed with a single bed on top).It has a large, pleasant family kitchen, fully equipped with many extras. The Gathering Table seats 8 and there is counter seating for 2 adults or 3 children. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses, coffee pot, teapot and many other useful items not usually provided in rentals. There is also a washer and dryer in the house.There is cable TV in the kitchen as well as the living room, and plenty of movies on DVD to watch.There is also a movable electric fireplace made by the Amish from oak trees.There is a mural of the Schweitzer Basin in the living room of Kots House that was painted by Russell Kotschevar, a well known local businessman who owned and built a local pub downtown. He also carved 'Pend O'Reille Pete', a larger-than-life-size statue which is displayed at US Bank just a couple of blocks from the property. 'Pete' is pretty famous and travels to various exhibits all over the country.The property has a small, grassy front yard and there are large, beautiful trees lining the street. The back yard is small and completely fenced with an outdoor firepit, a BBQ grill, table & chairs, and a covered, cushioned 3 seat swing.Smoking is permitted on the covered outdoor patio and the yard , but smoking inside the rental houses is not allowed and will result in the loss of deposit.Pets are considered on a case-by-case basis.
