It leads to the private salt water pool (which is 12m x 6m with roman steps and a security fence) and is equipped with a dining table which seats 12, a barbecue, loungers, a drinks fridge and table tennis table. The large sitting room has a traditional open fireplace with wood-burning stove, a dining table which seats 12, a stereo system, snooker table and doors to the garden. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are books and board and card games. On the route to St Jacques de Compostelle, Moissac is a charming market town with some good food shops, restaurants and cafes (and not many tourists). Market days are Saturday and Sunday. It also has a good selection of boulangeries, supermarkets and banks. Through Moissac flow both the river Tarn and the Canal du Midi. In the summer, there is water skiing on the river and boats and bikes can be hired for trips along the Canal. Close by is the lake at St Nicolas-de-la-Grave where there is canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and horse riding. There is also horse riding at the beautiful village of Lauzerte. For children there is a water park (Walibi) near Agen. There are two 9 hole golf courses nearby. One is at Roucous, near Castelnau-Montratier and the other at Espalais, near Auvillar. Both are about 30 minutes drive.
