You can watch dolphins and sea turtles from both the upstairs and downstairs lanais. n nAnd this townhouse is so easy to live in! The unit has approximately 2300 sq. ft. of centrally AIR-CONDITIONED space on two floors, plus 400 sq. ft. of lanai space. n nSliding glass doors open onto two oceanfront lanais that overlook the beautiful white sand beach, the black lava rocks, the surf, and sea-life including dolphins, sea turtles, and seasonal whales. n nThis particular Hawaii vacation condo is unusual in that there are only 8 units, two per building, and all are oceanfront. The complex is very private and easye28094no long hauls from the car or to the water. There is covered parking adjacent to the unit, and the beach starts at the bottom step of the deck! n nThe living room and master bedroom have full ocean views and you can hear the soothing sounds of the surf. The spacious master bedroom is a king-sized suite containing a bathroom with a whirlpool tub and separate shower, and it opens up onto an oceanfront lanai. The second bedroom upstairs is large and has its own bath, two twin beds, and a futon sofa that converts to a double bed. The downstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and a full bathroom. It can be entered either through the house or through its own entrance, and is perfect for grandparents, a nanny, friends, or families with more than two children. n nJust a short walk of about 100 yards down the beach from us, there is a hidden protected cove with resident, rather inquisitive sea turtles. Although Hawaii State law prohibits humans from approaching sea turtles, the turtles themselves seem to operate under no such restrictions. On every trip, they have swum up to check us out (and, I suspect, to see if we happen to be carrying any seaweed). Description:The large patio and south-facing terrace of our Dalmatian beach apartment are shaded by olive, orange, lemon and mandarin trees while vines and kiwi give shade in the parking area. Failte is a garden-level apartment so there are no stairs to negotiate and the promenade and beaches are reached by a quiet almost flat roadway. Our two neighbours are friendly Croatian families who speak a little english. In 2006 we had Failte totally refurbished to a high standard and it is really more a home away from home than your typical holiday let. The kitchen is equipped with full cooker, extractor fan, microwave oven, under-sink water-heater, and dishwasher. There is also a juicer, coffee percolator and toaster. For dining there is an oval table and chairs for six. The living room is air-conditioned. Here you will find Satilite TV, DVD player, radio, tape and CD player. Patio doors lead outside to the terrace where you can enjoy al fresco meals or a glass or two of superb locally-produced wine in the shade of our lemon trees. The master bedroom en-suite and the second bedroom are both of good size with plenty of storage. Bedroom 3 is smaller but has two full size single beds, a wardrobe and dressing table. Bathrooms. Each of the two bathrooms has its own hot water tank ensuring an adequate supply for showers etc. There is also a toilet and wash-hand-basin in the utility room where you will find the washing machine, iron, ironing board and some beach equipment, buckets and spades etc.
