And by this river sits Villa Sungai Gold. A luxury one bedroom villa, laced with tangible indulgent luxury, generous spaces and an acute attention to detail. This villa is a unique escape, where your every need is taken care of by your private staff dedicated to you and your travelling party. All items and furnishings to be found here are hand-made, hand chosen and custom designed, from the thatched roofs made from dried alang alang grass, to the furniture made from local whitewashed teak finished in chalky lime wash and covered in stylish khaki and batik fabrics - in line with the Armani feel and elegance, to the fresh cut flowers. The layout of the villa is open, generous and well thought through. The neutral textured palette is pleasing on the eye and everything is done simply and well. Made up of four pavilions, the simple daily rituals of sleeping, eating, relaxing and bathing create the pattern of your day. nBetween dips in the 11m private swimming pool with cocktail where darting butterflies skim down the river corridor and provide a constant visual parade of activity, here you will find superlative massage and yoga specialists who are on call. The villa has a Bose stereo system which can be found in the dining area, the lounge area, outdoors and in the bedroom. Sungai Gold's air-conditioned bedroom is fitted with one ultra-King bed, Egyptian sheeting, a netted canopy, and cooling fans. The en-suite bathroom is appointed with superb ,Acqua di Parma products. If the sun gets too hot, retreat to the 4-poster daybed or inside to the air-conditioned pavilion to catch up on a movie. Some of the amenities that can be enjoyed at Villa Sungai Gold include colour plasma satellite television, a DVD and book library, and loaded Ipods. nWhilst GOLD is aimed at couples a second king bed (and a single) is available if need be in the leisure pavilion with the same quality of plush pillow-top mattressing and bedding (and netted canopy) as is in the main guest suite. Once the lined bamboo blinds are down a private air-conditioned second bedroom is created. A second bathroom attached to this leisure pavilion serves as an ensuite bathroom for guests sleeping in this pavilion and there is a large armoire to unpack into. , During the day it is returned to daybed status for use by all guests so the overall experience is not compromised. (Many guests choose to leave some of the blinds up so as to have uninterrupted views of the pool and take in the stars and jungle in a similar way to the most luxurious tented camp experiences in Africa.) nTennis and golf facilities are a mere 15 minutes from the villa. Enjoy the complimentary full a la carte breakfasts daily including freshly-squeezed juices and ,premium Nespresso coffees. The other meals, snacks and extensive selection of wine are available. Food is sourced and cooked daily with local produce for both the western and Indonesian menu, at an exceptionally high standard. Description:Our Villa is located in Tanjung Benoa Nusa Dua and is part of a complex of nine private villas. We have staff to maintain the beautiful gardens, look after housekeeping and 24 hour security. Each villa has its own private pool and the complex also boasts a communal pool in the centre of the common area for all to enjoy. The complex overlooks Benoa bay and has direct water access. The villas are in walk distance to an abundance of great resturants, including Meads, Sakala,The Tree, Coconuts, La Scala are just a few great eateries. The famous water sport area of Nusa Dua is a 5 minute walk or just lay on the balcony upstairs relax and watch the activity on the water. r nThe villa can accomodate upto 8 people and it comprises of 3 x QS size bedrooms with ensuites and a double bunk for the kids. It has a fully equipped kitchen, private pool, Bale begong, BBQ, lounge room, free wifi, Afresco dining and beautiful gardens. We have hosted weddings in the common area and guests have booked many of the villas for the big event. So if you require extra villas for big family holidays or any special celebraration, this can be arranged. The villas are so well located and are about 25minutes from the airport and Kuta. Taxis are cheap and readily available to take you anywhere on the island, or we can arrange for car hire or a car with a driver to take you on any adventure. r nBali Collection shopping centre is about 15 minutes away and the ladies will love to spend a few hours and also a few dollars. There is also an abundance of restuarants in this area. The beaurtiful beaches of Nusa Dua are a big draw card to spend your holiday in this part of paradise.

The Villa Manager will be available from 8am to 5pm. He's a wonderful individual, keen and smart and willing to help organise any touring needs you have to see the rest of Bali. Easy (really easy) reach to a lovely beach, beachside eateries, upmarket and budget and interesting food and all sorts of water sports....Bali's beauty and exciting adventures abound. It's a truly special environment...you'll want a mix of exploring outdoors and then returning and 'chilling' on the verandah, by the pool, in the shady garden spaces, in your room...in the studio with the TV (cable) or DVD player... There's wifi...there's a (small but interesting) library of books and movies... a week won't be enough!

One of the good things to do is take the path that crosses in front of the verandah down to the river, where villagers bathe and wash their clothes.
