Located in the small village of Cepaka in the region of Tabanan, surrounded by rice paddies and overlooking the river Penet, Villa Sungai is the ultimate Bali getaway for couples, families or small groups. This villa is where your every need is taken care of, from wondrous dining experiences to a host of magnificent amenities and activities. This stunning private luxury retreat is ideal for people looking for a more personal, bespoke experience, with staff who know your name, your favourite drink and can arrange a restaurant reservation, spa treatment, or simply point you in the right direction within minutes of you deciding to do something. The three bedrooms at Sungai all look out to a private 18m pool, the river, lush tropical canopies interspersed with frangipanis, and the leisure pavilions with Bose sound. nOn arrival, you shall descend about thirty steps down a steep river bank and walk through the entrance of the Villa to find yourself in the middle of a mini rain forest. An 18 metre infinity pool runs along the edge of the property with huge palms, bamboo and other tropical plants emerging from the riverbank below, creating an overwhelming canopy of green. Thick foliage on the opposing riverbank soars overhead and as far as the eye can see, giving the impression that we are completely alone. The villa itself has a beautiful colonial feel about it. A traditional vaulted thatch roof creates a great feeling of space, assisted by ,several huge wood-framed mirrors high on the walls. The colours are soft, cafe latte hues, with a mix of rattan cane and white-washed wood, off white terrazzo floors and khaki soft furnishings. Oversized furniture dominates the setting with cushioned benches, luxurious daybeds and a huge marble top dining table taking centre stage, giving the whole setting a feeling of relaxed sophistication and understated chic. Some of the amenities to be enjoyed at Sungai include colour satellite television, a DVD library, a book library, and high-speed internet access (WiFi). nThree spacious air-conditioned bedrooms lie behind sliding glass doors, complete with king-size four poster beds with gorgeous linen and the most fabulously comfortable, custom-made king size pillows and huge indoor/outdoor bathrooms. In addition, each bedroom is fitted with imported linen, plush feather and down duvets, unlimited giant pillows/bath sheets, ,Acqua di Parma ,bathroom amenities, and plasma satellite colour television. With the day bed included and an additional bathroom attached, the villa comfortably sleeps eight. At the far end of the property is the massage/spa room and beyond that, a kitchen and unobtrusive staff area where ,twevle full time staff, including private chefs, butler and drivers, are ready to look after your needs 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Unobtrusive yet incredibly attentive staff, most of whom have been with the villa since its inception in 2001, are managed by a wondrous house manager who speaks excellent English. The luxurious bedding, fresh flowers daily (white, naturally), a pyramid of fresh towels and a basket of water bottles sitting by the pool at all times all adds to the feeling that nothing has been overlooked. Add to this formal table settings for all meals and the staff fitted with Captain's Jackets in the evening serving canapes and cocktails, a private fridge for alcohol and stores, a great kids' menu and lots of toys. Villa Sungai is located just 20 minutes north of the tourist enclave of Seminyak, there is a huge variety of great restaurants and entertainment close at hand. It is also just 10 minutes from ,a fabulous beach, 40 minutes to the airport at Denpasar, and 35 minutes from Ubud. nNote: both Villa Sungai and Villa Sungai Gold can be booked in conjunction to give a total of five guest rooms, which also gives a total of two signature pools, three dining areas, two leisure pavilions, two dining pavilions, spa room, and a myriad of child amenities which make Villa Sungai and Villa Sungai Gold also ideal for families.

Description:Villa Sungai. Ocean side two bedroom three bath villa in Bali. Enjoy the tropical breeze as you sit on the verandah and watch the waves. Or follow the seaside promenade just in front of the property to beachside restaurants, shops, diving and other activities all within a 5 minute walk. And if you don’t want to get away from it all, the villa has satellite tv and wireless internet. Comes complete with English speaking housekeeper. The villa is in the Mertasari neighborhood of Sanur. Upstairs is the master bedroom with en suite bath and a large, open living area. Bali houses feature open plans, and this living area overlooks the treetops to the south and the sea to the east. Downstairs is a second bedroom with en suite bath and a den/tv room with a third bathroom. Also downstairs is the open kitchen and dining area. Access to Villa Sungai is by bridge across a shallow tidal creek running alongside the downstairs area. The bedrooms and den are the only closed rooms and all have AC. There is a lap pool and shallow wading pool that are shared by the small, 6 room, resort. Villa Sungai is the only permanent residence in the resort. Also in the resort is a restaurant serving Thai and Western dishes. Dewa, the full time housekeeper, speaks excellent English. He cleans the villa daily, will do your laundry, and will be happy to help make your visit a success. Within 1 hours drive, you can visit the artists community of Ubud, see the popular kecak dance at the UluWatu temple, or ride horses on the beach in Seminyak. Go a little further outside of Sanur and explore more of Bali. Some of the world's best diving is in Amed, 2 hours drive. Journey through ancient rice paddies and have lunch at the Tirtagangga Water Palace. Or just enjoy meeting the very welcoming Balinese people. There is something for everyone in Bali !!
