House/Residence Villa Guinigi 15 km from Lucca: The Villa Guinigi from the XVI century and the merby village are located in the hills surrounding the city of Lucca. When the Guinigi, then lords of Lucca, decided to build their country residence, in the first half of the XVI century, Matraia offered the ideal location to enjoy the climate and the best views of Lucca.
