Horseback riding is also one of the options. Also you can take a walk along (or even around) the lake ( 2,5 hrs) or thru the Damsterbos. In Villa ten Hoeve you will find 2 large volumes, containing many tourist tips, car rides along beautiful sights in Groningen and also addresses of restaurants and museums. If you want to travel a little bit further away, you can go to the Bourtange fortified town, the Seal Centre Pieterburen, the Sea aquarium or in Delfzijl or a day trip to the beautiful German island ‘Borkum’.
