Description:Toucan Blue is a beautiful beach house located 20 km. east of the Roatan International airport, mid-island on the scenic north shore in Milton Bight. The crystal clear Caribbean water is just steps from the front door and the second largest barrier reef in the world is approximately 300 meters before you. Enjoy the serenity as you look out upon the sea and the never tiring view. n nRoatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras, is included in the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die by Patricia Schultz. For years, Roatan was known mainly to divers for the exquisite diving adventures around the barrier reef. The improved infrastructure on the island now brings growing tourism and cruise ship passengers. English is the main language of the island with Spanish widely spoken, and US currency is accepted. n nToucan Blue is perfect for divers, snorkelers, family, or friends. It is a single family home with main living areas and four private bedrooms so rates are flexible depending on the number of guests. The bedrooms not required will simply not be made up or accessible, they will not be rented to others. Escape the tourist crowds for the solitude, peace, and tranquility of Toucan Blue. n nThere are only four other homes on the white sand peninsula that share the dock with Toucan Blue, with security on site. There is DirectTV (basic plan) and DVD player for those times that you want to be indoors, and you can keep in touch with others using the wireless internet connection. There are games, puzzles, books, music and movies for your enjoyment. n nThe large, covered, ceramic tiled deck is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting and endless view. It is where you will likely spend most of your time while at the house. It is also a great place to laze in the hammocks, listen to the waves breaking over the reef, watch the hummingbirds at the feeder, or sit by the railing and gaze at the star filled sky at night. Shade sails have been added to help keep the deck cool by blocking some of the afternoon sun. n nThe patio table seats six with another table and chairs available for additional deck seating/dining. The BBQ grill is near the kitchen and deck. A local cook is available for a nominal fee if you are interested in having island meals prepared at the house. n nThe lower level includes the large emerald green bedroom with bath/shower, and the two other bedrooms that share a full bath with tub/shower. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. An outdoor shower is available to wash off the sand and salt before entering the home. n nEnjoy the stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, paddle the sea inside the barrier reef in the two provided sea kayaks, stroll the white sand beach, view sea life from the dock, or gently swing in one of the hammocks on the deck. n nFor divers, a dive shop is located at nearby Turquoise Bay Resort. Description:Get away from it all at the Pineapple House, a newly constructed luxury beachfront home located on the white sands of Treasure Beach. Located three miles from Utila town and ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT, a vacation at the Pineapple House is ideal for romantic couples wanting peace and privacy or adult friends and families looking to relax and reconnect. The large great room has soaring 18 ft. high ceilings and multiple French doors opening onto a wide wrap around veranda with sweeping views of the beach, ocean, the Utila Cays and the mainland mountains on the horizon. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and the large dinning table seats eight. The master bedroom has a queen sized canopy bed, walk in closet, en-suite bathroom and French doors opening onto a sea view veranda. There are three more bedrooms, two of which have French doors that open directly onto the beach, all have queen sized beds, large closets and there are two more full bathrooms. The Pineapple House is tastefully furnished and all table ware, bed linens and towels are of the finest quality. The shady verandas are also furnished and perfect for lounging and siestas, as is the beach with its hammocks, sun beds and casitas. A large sunbathing/star gazing deck is built over the water, enjoy cooling breezes as you look at the coral reef below or enjoy sunsets over the cays. Diving and fishing trips are easily arranged as are trips to the Utila Cays and the snorkeling right in front of the house is world class. Featuring over 2800 sq. ft. of living space and 600 sq. ft. of covered verandas, the Pineapple House can be rented as a two, three or four bedroom home comfortably accommodating up to 8 adults. For larger groups we can also offer the delightful CORAL HOUSE which can accommodate an additional two couples in its two bedrooms/two bathrooms, this house also features a full kitchen and living room with multiple sets of french doors that open onto a huge wrap around veranda. The Coral House is located 100ft down the beach from The Pineapple House. Rental includes pick up from Utila town on your arrival day and return boat trip to town on check out day (no boat transfers at night).
