When you walk in the front door you are on a breezy outdoor open air patio looking out over the lush gardens. There you and your loved ones will watch the birds and other tropical wildlife. Walk into the kitchen which is fully equipped , and nice for dinner parties or hanging out with friends. The main house, has 2 bedrooms and two baths, the two story tower, has one king bedroom and a bath and has a lovely view above the treetops of the ocean and sunset. The house sleeps 6 Adults and a few kids. There are 2 Queen size beds in the main house and a king size bed and bath in the tower which is located down a short lit cement walkway. The house has games, a cell phone, a modem and snorkeling gear. The patio is draped with hammocks, swings and murals just perfect for getting together with friends and family after a swim in the community pool or a dip in the sea. nThe house is designed by a Honduran Architect to perfectly capture the northerly trade winds. The house uses a rustic cement Honduran hand made architecture, and the main house is cooled with ceiling and floor fans only. Located in Coral Vistas, directly on the beach on Half Moon Bay, this villa has amazing wraparound ocean views in every direction, is quiet and private, has its own pool, and is just a block from the center of town. n nThis is a new luxury villa, with central air, backup power, granite countertops, hardwood cabinets, hardwood and tile floors, Egyptian cotton sheets, wireless Internet, cable TV, and many other amenities--see the list below. Either cut and paste, or type it directly into the address bar. nOur house is conveniently located between West Bay and West End the two most popular spots on the island. You will find many reputable and inexpensive restaurants and bars in both West End and West Bay as well as street vendors and small shops that serve food depending on how adventurous you are. There are 2 supermarkets within a reasonable distance from our house and there are many small grocerey stores and deli's to get food, water and supplies for your stay. You may want to ask your cab driver to stop at the supermarket on your way to our house from the airport as they drive right past it to get to the house. They will usually do this for a small fee. Cab fares from the airport are usually $25 each way. If you want, our property management company will have someone waiting for you at the airport with a sign with your name on it and make the grocery store stop for a cost of $60 to the house with the grocery stop and $50 for the return to the airport. Most people choose to get transportation on there own, but this is a service that is available if you want it. This fee would be in addition to the weekly rental. There are atm's available in West End, West Bay and Coxen Hole we will have an international cell phone available for anyone that goes and works with prepaid minutes that are widely available throughout the island. nThere are hundreds of dive sites available in and out of the marine sanctuary near our house making Roatan one of the most popular, spectacular, and affordable dive destinations in the world . n n Roatan is located approx 35 miles off the North Coast of Honduras. nThe colorful English of the Caribbean and Spanish are both spoken in Roatan and both languages are taught in most schools. nFor residents of most western countries to enter Honduras or Roatan you only require a valid passport. Once in Honduras or Roatan you can stay 30 days in the country and a visitor's extension is possible for a total stay of 180 days, then you are required to leave the country for three days. For residents of some countries a visa is required. Check locally with your Travel Agent or the closest Honduran Embassy. Description:Toucan Blue is a beautiful beach house located 20 km. east of the Roatan International airport, mid-island on the scenic north shore in Milton Bight. The crystal clear Caribbean water is just steps from the front door and the second largest barrier reef in the world is approximately 300 meters before you. Enjoy the serenity as you look out upon the sea and the never tiring view. n nRoatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras, is included in the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die by Patricia Schultz. For years, Roatan was known mainly to divers for the exquisite diving adventures around the barrier reef. The improved infrastructure on the island now brings growing tourism and cruise ship passengers. English is the main language of the island with Spanish widely spoken, and US currency is accepted. n nToucan Blue is perfect for divers, snorkelers, family, or friends. It is a single family home with main living areas and four private bedrooms so rates are flexible depending on the number of guests. The bedrooms not required will simply not be made up or accessible, they will not be rented to others. Escape the tourist crowds for the solitude, peace, and tranquility of Toucan Blue. n nThere are only four other homes on the white sand peninsula that share the dock with Toucan Blue, with security on site.
