On the upper level of the house you find the open-plan kitchen and living area with Cretan bench, dining table, open fireplace and Italian designer kitchen completely equipped with: dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, juicer, electric mixer, iron and much more. The gas oven and hob are made by SMEG, the fridge has a large freezing compartment. From the sleeping area you can reach the partly-roofed terrace, offering breathtaking views across the Messara plain. From your comfortable bed you also have great views of the Ida mountain chain. The bathroom is particularly beautiful with a Minoan bath tub and can also be reached from the sleeping area. Stairs lead down from the kitchen and living area into the lower level of the house where a further bedroom with en-suite toilet and wash basin can be found. The bedroom boasts one bunk bed (child safety equipment available) and a double bed with one double-sized mattress. The former wine cellar has been converted into a further bedroom with one double bed and a bed for infants. The ancient vine-cellar was rebuilt in an other bedroom with double-beds and a bed for children. The patatirio became a new bathroom with toilet, washing-machine and shower. By the extension of the roof terrace there is an additional beautiful small place. Stairs lead down from the kitchen and living area into the lower level of the house where a further bedroom with en-suite toilet and wash basin can be found. One, known as Kots House, is a 2-story, 4-bedroom, 2-bath home built in the late 1800's and recently fully remodeled. It will sleep 9 people. The other, known as Kots Studio, is smaller, also 2-story, 2-bedroom, 2-bath, and will sleep 4 people. Each has its own private yard.The larger Kots House (4 bedrooms) features 1 California King bed upstairs, 1 regular King bed downstairs, 1 Queen bed upstairs, 1 Double bunk bed downstairs (the bottom bunk bed is a double bed with a single bed on top).It has a large, pleasant family kitchen, fully equipped with many extras. The Gathering Table seats 8 and there is counter seating for 2 adults or 3 children. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses, coffee pot, teapot and many other useful items not usually provided in rentals. There is also a washer and dryer in the house.There is cable TV in the kitchen as well as the living room, and plenty of movies on DVD to watch.There is also a movable electric fireplace made by the Amish from oak trees.There is a mural of the Schweitzer Basin in the living room of Kots House that was painted by Russell Kotschevar, a well known local businessman who owned and built a local pub downtown. In the kitchen of the house floors are the original hand-forged nails of the former parlor. Equipment of the modern kitchen: stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, sink, kettle and cooking utensils for 10 people. The view from the three kitchen windows offers a panoramic view of beautiful garden and surrounding fields. The Bedrooms: When furnishing the bedrooms was the use of high-quality materials taken on, such as natural clay plaster, solid oak flooring and wool carpets. The beds have feather mattresses and feather duvets and pillows and are each a cozy sitting area furnished with. A 3-door wardrobe in the master bedroom has ample storage space for a longer stay. The 2-door cabinets in the other two rooms include 3 spacious linen drawers. In the middle room is a separate output in the garden. The Bathrooms: The bathroom area of a guest toilet and a bathroom comprising Mediterranean-style tiled and is located directly next to the first bedroom. The bathroom has next to a toilet and a shower basin with glass enclosure and a bath. Behind a partition wall is located on an ironing board, iron, hair dryer, laundry basket and extra storage space for bulky items. The Garden: For apartments, a 500 square meter/ 5400 squarefeet garden is fenced with a southern exposure in the Bergisch land typical of hawthorn hedge. In it there are two terraces, a barbecue and invite the sun. Enjoy the sunset from the undeveloped hills with a glass of wine. On the large lawn is a possibility a tent turn over. The mature trees of various fruit trees, magnolias and rhododendrons offer made children not playing just relaxing shade in the summer, but especially in spring and fall, a total sensory experience.
