Description:Why book an expensive hotel when you can pay for an affordable beachfront homestay? Mr. Ramil is renting out his house for tourists and travelers who are looking for cheap accommodation in Caramoan. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone! I'm posting this advertisement on behalf of a local resident who we met in Caramoan Island in CamSur. We hired Mr. Ramil for 2 days island hopping and learned that their house can be rented out for tourists and travelers. CHEAP CARAMOAN HOMESTAY Mr. Ramil's house has 4 bedrooms (fan room) and 2 bathrooms that can accommodate up to 8 persons (more than 8 is fine if you really have a tight budget). If you are solo or 2 persons only, for example, you can just rent one of the rooms. This is perfect for those who come in group that want to save money on accommodation in Caramoan. The house is where Kuya Ramil and his family live. But when the whole house is being rented out for guests, they just temporarily move to a smaller house beside it. It has complete amenities like a normal family home has (kitchen, dining room, living room, etc.). Please take note that this is a DECENT home stay and NOT for those looking for luxurious accommodation. The house is located in Brgy. Paniman where the Paniman Beach is located so this is BEACH FRONT. Paniman Beach is one of the jump off points for island hopping in Caramoan. You don't need to spend for expensive fare going to/from the beach unlike if you are staying at the town proper. Mr. Ramil charges PhP 300 (US$ 7) per head for an overnight stay. However you can negotiate especially if you are in a big group. In fact, he can let you stay for FREE and let you join with his family during meal time - that means you get to eat for FREE too. :-) This is not an exaggeration since Mr. Ramil is a really kind-hearted and generous person. He had a few guests that stayed for free (according to him, one time, 7 guests got stranded due to typhoon and Mr. Ramil offered their house w/out any charge because the guests were out of budget) but he didn't expect the guests would send him money to repay his generosity. If you have budget concerns, just let me him know and he will try to work it out for you. BUT DON'T BE KURIPOT - he also needs income to feed his family. :-) We never got a chance to stay at their house because we only learned about it when we got there and had already booked at one of the budget inns. He also said their house has been rented once by the Survivor crew. ISLAND HOPPING SERVICES If you are not interested on renting his house, you can just hire him for the island hopping. Again, you can always negotiate with him. In fact, he gave us BIG discount since there was only two of us (despite the standard rate set by the municipality). You will feel safe with him since he always KEEPS AN EYE on all his guests during island hopping and swimming. He's like a father guarding his children when playing. :-) Aside from that he will take you to places (some islands and caves) that most boat operators won't take you because it's not part of the regular itinerary. AFFORDABLE CARAMOAN TOUR PACKAGE Mr. Ramil is not connected with any agency but he can arrange a personalized tour package for you (transportation within Caramoan, accommodation at their house, island hopping and food) especially for big groups. He understands how some travel agencies and hotels charge their guests for tour packages which he finds EXPENSIVE. He can help you out with your DIY (Do-It-Yourself) travel plans if you want. He doesn't mind not making money from doing this - he is more than happy to be able to help and let you experience and enjoy Caramoan. :-) Caramoan is such a beautiful place and we definitely had a great time. We're very thankful to have met Kuya Ramil and as a way of thanking him, we promised to promote and recommend him online.
