Description:Kitsilano Cottage, the structure, is a heritage designation qualified 1916 Craftsman bungalow, typical of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. It has been meticulously restored and ethically upgraded to provide modern living convenience with architectural integrity with its origins. A Suite @ Kitsilano Cottage is a single, upscale, self-contained, garden level suite. It is approximately 825 square feet. There are two bedrooms. One has a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. There is, a double sized sofabed in the living room. The furnishings are a blend of antique and authentic hardwood reproductions in the Craftsman or, as our guests from the United Kingdom fondly refer to it, Macintosh style. The suite has its own private entry, patio, separate private phone line with TAD, hi definition LCD-TV with DVD/VCR and digital cable featuring pay per view and video on demand, Broadband Internet access by Ethernet & WiFi, stereo, a single bathroom with tub/shower, full deluxe Cook's kitchen facilities and in suite laundry facilities, for guest use. Daily rate guests, staying over a week, are provided weekly linen changes and cleaning service. Breakfast is not served. Also for daily rate guests', the suite is provisioned with, fresh fruit and baking, coffee and tea preparation supplies for a complimentary, self catered, continental breakfast, for the first morning. Beyond that, we recommend the many wonderful restaurants, within walking distance. There is always the option of using the suite's well-equipped cooking facilities for preparing meals. There are several grocers, within easy walking distance, offering a good variety of your favourite, meal preparation ingredients. Please note, A Suite @ Kitsilano Cottage does not allow pets, however we can recommend boarding services for the same. Note also that we are a non-smoking facility. While cigarette smoking outside is permitted, absolutely no smoking indoors is allowed.

It is surrounded by lush landscaping including an array of palm trees, queen palms, mesquite trees and grass. Features include a beach entry, tanning ledge, bench seating, a raised spa, multiple spillways, a double-sided waterfall, and multi-color lighting. Additionally, there are five bar stools inside the pool next to a swim up fire pit. This is truly a phenomenal pool!Also in the backyard is a sunken beach sand volleyball pit. There is a full basketball court and a three-hole putting green. A large fire pit with bench seating accommodates ten people and is a great place to relax and have a glass of wine while taking in the view of the mountains. There is also a BBQ island with a 52 gas grill with additional components.The 720 sq. ft. covered entertainment area in the backyard contains a cocktail bar, refrigerator, ice cooler, sink, TV, and Kegorator.
