This private beach also has a boathouse for guestse28099 use.c2a0 (Please note that Italian law allows for private beaches to be accessed by other boats from the lake). nThe location of Bellezza del Lago is particularly quiet and peaceful given the fact that it is located at the end of a dead end road.c2a0 It is approximately 15 minutes by foot from Laveno. nLaveno is a small and relaxed tourist town offering a variety of services such as grocery stores, bank, pharmacy, post office, shops, restaurants, and a lakeside promenade.c2a0 There is a ferry stop in Laveno and boats go to the western side of the lake (Stresa, Pallanza, Cannero) and also to the Borromean islands, famous for their charming beauty. nThe Laveno Mombello train station in Laveno is about 1.5 km from Bellezza del Lago.c2a0 From here trains go to the Milano Cadorna train in the center of Milano in less than one hour.c2a0 The fast train from Malpensa airport goes to the Milano Cadorna train station so it is possible to fly into Malpensa and take a train to Milan and then to the villa.c2a0 A handy taxi ride to the villa would be necessary with luggage.c2a0 Once at the villa, day trips in the region can be made by taxi, bus or boat.c2a0 As a result, Bellezza del Lago can be well suited for those who do not wish to rent a car. nBellezza del Lago was built in 1930 for a well-known Italian family and is spacious and full of atmosphere.c2a0 The Italian classic style features marble tables, decorated wallpaper and furniture that was designed and hand crafted for the villa.c2a0 Most rooms overlook the lake and the rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the terraces and gardens. nThe extensive grounds are interspersed with footpaths and views overlooking the green lawn, the park and the lake.c2a0 The snowcapped mountains in the distance are stunning.c2a0 A path of about 150 stone steps leads down to the lake and to the pebble beach. This villa dates back to 1800 and once belonged to a noble Italian family. There is a private chapel also located on the ground that dates back to 1460 and is believed to be one of the oldest churches of Macerata.
