Description:Located just seven kilometers from Lucca, this is an elegant and richly decorated 18th century villa. It has its own chapel and is set in the midst of a very impressive and historic vineyard estate once owned by Count Cesare Sardi. The personality of the villa, however, remains unchanged, maintaining its authentic charm with beamed ceilings, frescoed walls decorated with a typical Lucchese tapestry and portraits of family ancestors. nLucca Nobile rents from SATURDAY to SATURDAY. nThe villa is a perfect blend of old world charm and modern day living. It offers a great variety of up to date services, such as wireless Internet, air conditioning and satellite TV. An arrival dinner is included (vegetarian lasagna, cheese, vegetable tart, salad, dessert). And finally, a breakfast is included Monday through Saturday! nLucca Nobile is set on a 32 acre family owned vineyard estate in the peaceful hills surrounding Lucca. The villa is a superb example of traditional Lucchese architecture and, following this tradition, has three floors and a classical Italian style garden which is 2.5 acres in size. Located just outside of the property is a small chapel that was, historically, the chapel of the villa and the neighboring borgo. Mass is celebrated here every Sunday at 9am. There are also some farmhouses on the large estate behind the villa where the vineyard workers live. nThe private garden is filled with a variety of trees indigenous to the area as well as fragrant plants and roses. There are several furnished outdoor areas for relaxing and dining al fresco. Comfortable deck chairs and sun loungers can be found near the swimming pool, which is located in a pleasant panoramic position. There is also a barbecue for guests ' use. nThe villa is spacious at 500 square meters and develops on three floors. It comfortably accommodates 14 people in 8 bedrooms--all of which are air conditioned--and 6 bathrooms. There is also central heat throughout the villa. nIt is possible to rent the villa for a group of 10 or less for a reduced rate--please contact us. In this case, the ground floor of the villa will not be available. nThe villa can be rented for smaller groups (up to 10 people) without the ground floor apartment, which has its own entrance from the rear of the house. In this case the owner or staff (2 person maximum) may use the ground floor apartment. However, this does not affect the privacy of our guests and we guarantee that the garden and pool ground are at the EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE GUESTS. nThe villa is laid out as follows: nGround floor (sleeps 4 people): nMain entrance way with staircase leading to the first floor. A second door leads to large and bright living room with access to the lovely garden. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, frescoed dining room with marble fireplace and access to the garden as well as a TV room with satellite TV. There are two bedrooms (both with air conditioning) one large double bedroom (160 cm wide bed) with a beautiful beamed ceiling and Lucchese tapestry and one twin bedroom (80 cm wide each bed, can be joined as a double) with a modern marble bathroom with tub/handheld shower attachment, shared by both bedrooms. nFirst floor (sleeps 4 people): nThis floor is what the Italians refer to as the Piano Nobile, the noble floor. It features a spacious and elegant formal living room with comfortable sofas and satellite TV. The walls are bright and yellow and decorated with ancestral portraits. There are also two air conditioned bedrooms (one double and one twin) on the Piano Nobile. The double bedroom has a 160 cm wide bed with en suite marble bathroom with shower. The twin bedded room has two 80 cm beds which can be joined as a double, and a bathroom with tub. Furthermore, there is a formal dining room with a small balcony and fully equipped kitchen. nSecond floor (sleeps 6 people) nThe top floor consists of four bedrooms, one double (160 cm wide bed), one twin (two 80 cm wide beds, can be joined as a double) and two single bedrooms (each with a 105 cm wide bed) and three bathrooms (one with shower and two with tubs). Notable features include the timber beamed ceilings and the typical Tuscan tile floor. All rooms on this floor are air-conditioned and air conditioning is included in the price. nEach floor offers an independent alarm system, satellite TV, telephone and modern centralized vacuum cleaning system in each room. Other amenities in the villa include a fireplace, CD/stereo, fax, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. nThe location of Lucca Nobile is ideal for visiting Tuscany hill towns and cities of art as well as the coast and Cinque Terre. Lucca is 7 km away, Florence 70 km, Pisa 20 km, the Versilia beaches are 30 km. The Cinque Terre can be reached in one and a half hours. Tennis facilities are 5 minutes away and a lake for fishing is a 15 minute walk. There are 18 hole golf courses in both Montecatini and Versilia, each approximately 30 minutes away. nThere is a restaurant, bar, grocery shop, pharmacy and newspaper shop approximately one kilometer from the villa and, at two kilometers, a large supermarket. nCook service for dinners is available as a booking option. A Swiss family purchased the property and built several unique hunting lodges that still accompany the villa today. 20 years later, the Finzi-Contini family of Florence purchased the property. They lived there until 1954, when the current owners took it over. The property features a sublime combination of Tuscan stone, cotto bricks, and rolling English lawns. Thanks to its location 500 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, soft breezes provide a welcome respite from the summer sun. The hunting lodges have been converted into residences—,there are two large independent hunting lodges and a small woodsman's cottage. There are two additional houses which are adjacent to the owner's private farmhouse. Each of the five structures has its own history and distinct identity. They offer fabulous views, mature oak woods, and access to a vast nature reserve. This villa shares a swimming pool. n n[300 m2] nGround floor: There are three entrances to the villa. One entrance leads through the loggia, between two ivy-covered columns, and through a glass door into the main living area. Another entrance is via the terrace, where a glass door leads directly into the kitchen. The third entrance is through the garden, where an original terracotta staircase leads directly to the upstairs bedrooms. Entering from the loggia, there is a living area with a fireplace and terracotta floors. The ground floor also has a room furnished with a TV and antique sofas. The adjacent sitting area has a large sofa and windows overlooking the garden. There is a dining room with marble floors and a large wooden table that seats 18 people. A wooden door leads into the fully equipped kitchen. There is also a WC with a washing machine. A hallway with a staircase leads to the first floor. nFirst floor: A long hallway connects all five bedrooms of the first floor: Giglio, Ginestra, Rosa, Geranio, and Margherita. Giglio has a double bed, antique furniture, and an en suite bathroom [with shower]. Ginestra has a double bed and a private terrace. Rosa has a double bed and access to the same private terrace. Ginestra and Rosa share an en suite bathroom [with shower], which is situated in a connecting antechamber. Geranio and Margherita each have two twin beds.
