Description:This romantic Treehouse like cottage is located on 5 acres in the mountains above the Valley of the Moon in Sonoma. This unique studio cottage features a waterfall, suspension bridge and a star gazer dwelling on a cliff. It is often used by honeymooners and for anniversaries and birthday celebrations. Only 15 to 20 minutes to some of the best wineries and dining in the region. The cottage is listed in the Lover's Guide to Waterfalls and offers private hiking trails and a 40 foot waterfall in the winter & spring. Situated at a private residence, the Bella Luna Mountaintop Retreat, offers only one vacation cottage with privacy, breathtaking views and a magical tree house like place to stay. We call our little treehouse like dwelling, Clair de Lune Cottage, named for the enchanted light that surrounds her and is nestled in a grove of oak trees, the cottage Amenities are: Sleeps 2 people only Kitchenette with four burner stove/oven mini refrigerator Jacuzzi for two luxury linens and towels DVD player w/films Queen size bed Wrap around deck overlooking a private forest of oaks and madrone Hair dryer/iron Access to stargazer Private hiking trails Walking distance to hood mountain park Propane BBQ on deck 10-30 minutes to premiere wineries and dining Winter/Spring waterfall (Listed in the Lover's Guide to Waterfalls) Access to outdoor hot tub (additional charge of $45 for entire stay) Please note - owners live in a separate house on the property and are available to help our guests with anything they need. We prefer to give our guests complete privacy, so it is rare that we see guests except when checking them in. We are sorry we cannot accept pets - as so many of our guests have allergies. This Treehouse like cottage has scores of followers. We have had many people propose marriage at the star house (a small dwelling for star watching and sunset views). Please note you do not need to cross the bridge to get to cottage. The wifi is only available on request and for limited periods. Hot Tub is an additional fee of $75 and needs advanced notice to clean and ready it. It is near the main house - so some guests are not comfortable using it. There is a jacuzzi for 2 people inside the cottage itself. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BIG AND SPACIOUS this is NOT the place. The cottage is a small studio with a large wrap around deck. There is a kitchenette in the cottage as well as a jacuzzi tub for two people.

La Buona Stella is a Napa Valley property furnished in European country style and surrounded by oleander, olive trees, rosemary and vineyards. The Mediterranean landscaping provides peace and seclusion, yet one can easily walk to the charming village of St. Helena. The 2-acre property is comprised of a renovated main residence atop a stone wine cellar, a guest house, caretaker’s cottage, circa-1890 barns and outbuildings, swimming pool and spa, pool house with shower and changing room, courtyard with fountain, outdoor dining pergolas, lawn, vineyard and extensive fruit trees, herb, vegetable and flower gardens. Among the produce and animals raised at the property are wine grapes, olives, doves, rabbits and chickens. A full-time caretaker resides on-site. La Cascina La Cascina is the main residence renovated with Tuscan terra cotta tiles, light plaster walls, handcrafted beam ceilings, custom woodwork, imported door and window hardware, and recessed lighting. The comfortable, well-appointed living room and spacious dining area enjoy lovely vineyard views from floor-to-ceiling French windows framed in Italian tapestry fabric. A state of the art Sony flat screen/Blu-ray media system is featured in the living room. Adjacent is a gourmet country kitchen fully equipped with limestone counters, hand-painted cabinets, Sub-Zero refrigerator, Thermador double ovens and 4-burner gas range with griddle and grill, Franke double sinks, dishwasher, trash compactor, commercial espresso machine, Cuisinart, ice cream and yogurt makers, rice cooker, juicer, blender, etc. The bedroom wing includes a master bedroom with bay window over the garden and fountain, handcrafted king-size wood bed, floor-to-ceiling custom closets, TV/DVD, and lovely European fabrics. The inviting master bath has a Porcher claw-foot tub with European style handheld shower, imported French lighting fixtures, wood wainscoting and garden outlook. This spacious building has a sleeping alcove with queen size English iron bed, sofa bed, kitchenette with below-counter Sub-Zero refrigerator, spacious and charming bathroom, Italian wood-burning stove, TV/DVD, piano and large walk-in closet. Located far enough from the main residence to ensure its own privacy, the Pollaio is ideal for the occasional guest, or as a quiet study or office. Both buildings are air conditioned and equipped with fax machines and wireless internet access, bocce, pétanque, and croquet are provided. Tennis is readily available at nearby courts. Meadowood Country Club and Resort – Relais & Chateaux For a supplemental charge, guests may avail themselves of the Meadowood Resort facilities, including a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, croquet, health spa, gym, outdoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and miles of scenic hiking trails.

Description:This private home is located on Howell Mountain, one of Napa Valley's most renowned appellations. Our house is nestled on the mountaintop, surrounded by oak trees, redwoods, and vineyards. The house was built in 1960 and we've kept the furniture and decor mid-century modern as well. The large great room has wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors leading to a small deck. There's a very large comfy couch for lounging and a dining area that seats six (but can accommodate more). Also in this room are a digital projector and screen for nighttime movie watching, plus a record player and stereo system. We have a number of records to choose from, but the stereo will also easily play from your computer or Ipod. The entire house is Wi-Fi equipped. The kitchen is fully equipped for your baking and cooking needs and includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer, garbage disposal, Kitchenaid, Cuisinart, some cast iron and Le Creuset pots/pans, place settings for six. Sorry, no microwave. The stove is electric. The house sleeps five comfortably. There are two large bedrooms and an office, all with large closets. One bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, the second with a full bed. The office can easily accommodate an inflatable mattress. The great room couch, when made up as a bed, is extremely comfortable. There are two full bathrooms both are clean, modern, with new fixtures and good water pressure. Ample large and fluffy towels are provided. A large patio in the back of the house has teak outdoor furniture for four and a small portable fire pit/grill. The patio is perfect for a warm summer night of grilling and wine. We have small speakers for playing music outside. The driveway has plenty of room for parking, and two bicycles will be available for your use. We are located next to Cade Winery near the small town of Angwin, which has a grocery store, gas station, post office, bank, and that's about it. There are miles of gorgeous hiking trails within 1 mile of our house, and also tennis courts (racquets and balls are at the house), running track, baseball fields, and Monday night outdoor mountaintop yoga. St. Helena, which has a number of great restaurants and shops, as well as cafes, grocery stores, a movie theater, etc, is a 10-minute drive down the mountain. We will leave for you a list of Napa Valley recommendations, including the hidden gems that only locals truly know about.
