Description:Greetings & Happy New Year - - - Are you thinking ahead? My wife and I will be traveling for six months...from August - December 2012...and would like to find responsible short term tenants to sublet our lovely home in a very nice location near Calistoga Road & Hwy 12. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Plus, it has a large bright family room with skylights in the rear of the house. It is a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood on the east side of Santa Rosa close to the Sonoma vineyards and wineries, and a short drive to Napa Valley. We are very close to a few lovely parks with great hiking and biking opportunities. Also, a short drive to the Russian River area and the Sonoma Coast. We will be away for the months of March, April, and possibly May. The house comes fully furnished and we may also have a car to offer as well. We are pretty flexible about storing some of our furniture if you have some furniture you need to bring. However, it does come with everything you will need including: fully kitchen, linen, TV, cable, WiFi, streamable Netflix, and more. It is a comfortable home in a great Sonoma location. Description:Sleeps 4, from $329/night - Surrounded by 29 acres on a wooded mountain, Sanctuaire (~2000sf) is a quarter century dream in the making. The owner has salvaged beautiful architectural items from San Francisco Victorians, collected high quality antiques and, with superb attention to detail, integrated them into an open-beamed lodge to create an artistic expression of the highest order. This house is such a work of art that it was featured in the New York Times, Sept. 2005. There are stairs up to the main living area. The living room is partially open to the kitchen, and has a dining area. Off the living area, there's a wrap-around deck with outdoor dining. Down a short hall, there's one bedroom with its own deck and bathroom. Down interior stairs, at ground level, there's a den/bedroom suite with gas fireplace, small patio, and bathroom. In front of the house, there's a large, sunny clearing with garden, seasonal unheated* swimming pool, hot tub and pond. *The pool is unheated, but it has a solar blanket and is in full sun all day every day, so generally stays warm enough through the summer. On the edge of the property, behind high privacy fencing, there is a cottage with a full-time tenant. No other near neighbors. Please Note: Prices Check Availability and select desired dates for exact rental pricing and minimum stay requirements. In July and August this property is only available for week long stays with check-ins on: Sunday. Description:Come and explore this gorgeous part of California: the famous Napa Valley, and vibrant downtown Napa! My home is available only Sept. 29-Oct. 21, 2012. If the calendar says otherwise, it's mistaken! This lovely home is a ten-minute walk from downtown and all that it has to offer: wonderful restaurants, farmer's market, riverfront shopping, live entertainment and parks. It's also convenient to the Oxbow market, the Wine Train, the Napa Valley Opera House, and the Uptown Theater. It's only minutes from highway 29, but secluded and quiet in a complex which includes a community pool. The neighborhood is old-town residential with some of Napa's gorgeous Victorian homes nearby. I've lived here for over 30 years, so will be happy to advise you on places to go and things to do. Napa is generally warm in summer with cool nights, and is surrounded by some of California's most beautiful landscapes. It's truly a great place to be. Calistoga, St. Helena, and all of the valley's treasures--including some of the world's best wineries, spas and restaurants--are just a short drive away along a lovely country highway. Napa is also convenient to the beautiful Sonoma Coast, Pt. Reyes National Seashore , Muir Woods, San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland. The house is about 1.5-2 hours from SFO and 1-1.5 hour from OAK and Sacramento, depending on traffic. The house has newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, a tiled atrium garden with fountain, front patio, wireless internet, fireplace, laundry and a garage. The kitchen is fully stocked with condiments, spices, dishes, pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided. It comfortably houses four with two bedrooms and two baths. The couch can also serve as a single bed. I don't have cable, but I do have ROKU for streaming hundreds of videos and past TV shows, and I have an extensive library of dvd's that you are welcome to view. This is a non-smoking household smoking is not permitted anywhere within the home. There are stairs between the living area and the bedrooms, and between the garage and the home itself. Please be aware that this house is NOT child-proofed. Infants and toddlers will need to be carefully monitored.

Close to freeways and bridges taking you to Marin County, the wine country, Sacramento, and of course to San Francisco. Public transportation to everywhere! Point Richmond is a quaint and friendly community. It is surprising how many people in the Bay Area have never heard of it! It is aptly called the hidden city. Because it's a true community, there are events going on regularly such as a music festival and Third Thursdays when the art galleries are open at night. The Farmers Market begins again the first Wednesday in May and will go through September. We, the owners live next door and are happy to make your stay as pleasant as possible without intruding. Maps, menus, and suggestions are available in the cottage. Got questions? We've got answers.

You will be greeted with a bottle of local wine, freshly ground coffee and a few breakfast goodies, as well as cut flowers throughout. Open the door from the master bedroom onto a wrap around deck. The bed is a super comfortable queen, with soft organic cotton linens, and a down comforter. Lie in bed and watch the flat screen TV. The kitchen is well equipped, lots of pots and pans, a new stove, microwave, and marble counter tops. The adjoining cozy living room opens to the wrap around deck. The small second bedroom contains a double futon and a portable crib with toys and stuffed animals for the little ones. Sitting on the deck you may feel as though you are living in a tree house, shared with woodpeckers, hummingbirds and red tailed hawks. The nights are dark and quiet, save for the sounds of crickets and the occasional owl. You can walk to the great town of Fairfax easily from our home. There you will find coffee shops, a bakery, restaurants: (Italian, Indian, Thai, American, Chinese, Cajan, Mexican, Pizza and Raw food), a wine bar, a brew pub, and an organic ice cream shop. We have a fantastic organic grocery store, a farmers market in the Summer, and live music in 3 or 4 places every night of the week. Not bad for a town of our size, just over 8,000! Fairfax is continually voted best place in Marin by Marin County residents. We are 45 minutes from Point Reyes seashore, 20 minutes from the town of Point Reyes, 40 minutes from San Francisco, 45 minutes from the Napa Valley wine country. There are hiking and biking trails all around, and 3 lakes very close by. We call our home a retreat, because that is how it feels when you are here. It's artistic rustic country living at it's best. One of our guests who booked for 3 days, and stayed 3 weeks, said it best: I've been traveling all over Northern California, and this is the first time I have felt like I am home. Whether you're here for vacation, work, or are re-locating to the Bay Area, our goal is for you to feel relaxed, welcome and right at home.
