On a weekend you will see surfers, windsurfers, and kite boarders mastering the waves. Across the ocean inlet stands the long peninsula Pt. Reyes National Park where herds of tule elk roam. n nWe consider Welcome Retreat a gift of God which we delight in sharing with those who come to enjoy it. It provides a place of serenity, peace, joy, laughter, fun, sharing with family and friends, or a place to cozy up with a book around the fireplace. n nThe large master bedroom upstairs with its own bathroom and king sized bed provides great rest with Tempurpedic mattress. The upstairs sunroom off the Master Bedroom with its own bath allows for private extra sleeping space on 2 queen sized futons. Separate living spaces allow individual down-time when families share accommodations together. Each of the downstairs bedrooms has a queen sized bed. n nThe large Circular living room and couch provides a great place for families to visit. The kitchen is very well equipped. Every living space has an ocean view. There is a separate dining room off the kitchen with a large table. Or, eat in the downstairs sunroom with ocean and beach surrounding and the view of the national park.

The east side deck offers both amazing views of the hills and pasturelands, and of the Pacific Ocean, perfect for barbequing, communing with nature, and the watching beautiful sunrises. Open the sliding glass doors and step onto the west side deck overlooking the ocean, beach, and sand dunes. Enjoy striking striking sunsets! The living room is large, light and open with gas fireplace, panoramic ocean views, piano, and game table. The dining area has views of the sand dunes to the west and the pasture lands to the east. The well-appointed kitchen is spacious and opens to the dining area. All of the bedrooms are nice sized, light and cheerful with great ocean views.The master bedroom has expansive ocean views and a private bath. Duncan's Dunes has been a family favorite for over 10 quiet, private street has only 2 other houses so it's a great place for kids! They can grab thier boogie/skim boards and off they go! Just a reminder; 8 people is the maximum for this house day or night.

From a comfortable seat on the deck, you’ll enjoy sea breezes, pelicans diving and fishing boats bringing in their catch. The house feels expansive as inside and outside become one with the windows facing the big filled, spacious and open! The open great room flows from lounging space, dining area, into kitchen and out onto the wrap-around deck. Nicely appointed BBQ and kitchen amenities to cook your favorites meals. Sliding doors in the Master Bedroom open to the deck. Wake-up to ocean view, breaking waves, and seagulls calling overhead. Kids love the bunk room. Twin bed on top and full on bottom and ocean view. So nobody misses out! The beach is just a 6 minute walk from the house. And for the adventurous, hike down to a secluded cove right in front. Cook a holiday meal in the convection oven and/or the gas range while you watch the tide roll in and out. The dining room is one my favorite spots in the cottage since it offers views of both the garden and the ocean. Close off the den from the rest of the house and enjoy a good book or take a nap on the comfy couch. The loft has a queen bed with a sky-light and views of the ocean and hilly ranch land to the east. This unique ocean-front property is a 3-minute walk to the beach.
