Villa Lucchese is a fine and richly decorated XVIII Century luxury villa to rent set in peaceful surroundings amongst the hills near Lucca. There are eight guest rooms and six bathrooms. Outside, the formal garden (two and a half acres) encompasses many areas to relax in the shade. A large swimming pool completes the serene grounds. The villa is partially air conditioned (all bedrooms) and surrounded by 32 acres of land with vineyard and olive groves owned by the family. The medieval walled city of Lucca is 7 km away. Florence is 70 km, and Pisa 20 km. The Versilia beaches are 30 km away while the Cinque Terre can be reached in one and a half hours. Tennis facilities (5 minutes) and a lake (fishing) is a 15 minute walk. There are golf courses (18 holes) in Montecatini and Versilia, both 30 minutes away. The house manager, who lives on the estate, provides a daily cleaning service six days per week and daily breakfast. Also included in the price is a cook service for the evening meal of which is three hours of work and includes the shopping. Guests are required to pay a 500 Euro food deposit for the shopping. There is a gardener who tends to the grounds and the swimming pool. Although not included, the services of a chef are available for lunch. Laundry service is also available for an extra charge. Villa Lucchese is an excellent example of the historic 17th and 18th century architecture in and around Lucca. In classic style, it features three floors sleeping up to 14 people. The villa can be rented excluding the two double bedrooms on the ground floor for a group of 10 people. Please inquire for prices. It is also possible to stay at Villa Lucchese without the dinner cook and again, prices will be lower if this option is chosen. Elegant Villa Lucchese is an 18th century villa with its own Chapel, vineyards and olive groves. The villa, built in 1708, was the home of Count Cesare Sardi. In 2003 it was beautifully restored by the current owner, Count Sardi 's direct descendant. Outdoor amenities include an Italian-style garden filled with trees, aromatic plants and roses providing an ideal background for the large swimming pool. First and top floor - First floor (sleeps 4 people): This floor includes the former salone centrale where nobility would gather to hear piano recitals - a spacious and elegant formal living room with comfortable sofas and TV. The beautiful yellow walls are decorated with the portraits of the family ancestors. On this same floor there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, each with ensuite marble bathroom (one with tub and the other with shower), a formal dining room with a small balcony and a fully equipped kitchen. Top floor (sleeps 6 people): There are four bedrooms (one double, one twin and two single bedrooms each with queen size beds (120cm), and three bathrooms (one with tub and two with showers). This floor has beamed ceilings and cotto toscano floors. These two floors feature an independent alarm system, internet connection in each room, satellite TV, telephone, with a modern centralized vacuum cleaning system in each room.
