Her services are included in the rent of the house. n nOur opinion: The best way to visit Rodrigues is to hire a a 4x4 or a motorbike to be able to reach lonely beaches and secluded spots. When raining the earth turns to mud, where even walking becomes difficult. nHowever, main roads are in a very good shape trough the Island. nBuses do pass near the house. You will need some patience to get anywhere and must count with several bus changes during the journey. nPeople in Rodrigues are used to walk. They walk to school, they walk to work and they walk to the church for kilometres and kilometres. There are no fences, you just go straight up and down the hills until you reach the coast. nHitch hiking is common on the Island. If you have your own car, take people with you as well. There is nothing more exhilarating than to have a bunch of Rodrigues school children on the backseat of your car chatting loudly in Creole e280a6 n nThere are beautiful paths in hills as well. Description:The property is newly built in a complex where there is 24 hours security and a watchman at the gate.It is situated in the north of the paradise island of Mauritius and only 10 minutes from the beach. The place is very quiet and the area is well known for its scenery and fishing. You have all the amenities nearby: hairdresser, florist, shops, pharmacy, restaurants, hotels, bars, bus stops, football play ground, police station, mini market and church. It is a short ride by car or bus to Grand baie where there is the main tourists attractions and night life. The appartment can accomodates 8 persons as it is over 3 floors.On the ground floor there is the kitchen dinner and loungh where there is a sofa bed. On the first floor there is 2 bed rooms and a bathroom and toilet. On the 2nd floor there is an ensuite bedroom with a very spacious terrace. There is good ventilation throughout the house as it is designed with 3 windows and a patio door in the front and a back door. The charges is £30 /night for the first person and £15 for each extra 5 persons and remaining 2 is free of charge. Pick up from the airport can be arranged at a small charge.
