Completed in late 2011 our home is located at a 2500 foot elevation within the boundaries of the Nantahala National Forest. It has the feel of a remote mountain getawaye280a6without the usual steep mountain driving. It also has easy access to neighbors and to nearby suburban amenities. You will enjoy great views from every room in the house with breathtaking 180 degree, long range mountain views from our great room, dining room and wrap around covered porch. If you like to cook you will even enjoy the view while cooking on an IKEA gas stove inserted into a cooking island complete with chef table seating! The kitchen is equipped with brand new stainless steel appliances so there is no roughing it at Blessing Ridge. n nThe great room with a family room loft overlooking it has wood floors, tongue and groove wood paneling on its vaulted ceiling and a gas log fireplace inset in a floor to ceiling stone wall. Both the family room and loft are equipped with a 60 channel Dish Network satellite system. New in 2013...55 LED HD Flat-Screen TV mounted above fireplace. Blessing Ridge is also equipped with wireless DSL internet...if you need to check your email or post some vacation photos on Facebook! n nThe dining room butcher block table will seat 10 with beautiful views of its own. Or you may enjoy supper on the adjacent shaded wrap around covered porch with gas grill and comfortable seating for 6 in the dining area. Theree28099s additional space to relax on the covered rocking porch and a sunning deck with two chaise lounges adjacent to a 7 person lounger hot tub equipped with L.E.D. lighting and an MP3 / FM stereo sound system! Every seat has a different jet configuration so we have enjoyed playing musical seats in the hot tub! Ite28099s also an especially great spot to enjoy the starlit mountain sky. n nOur home will sleep up to ten with queen beds in two of the bedrooms, a full bed and twin bunks in the upstairs bedroom, and a queen sofa bed in the loft. The sofa bed has a memory foam mattress and a great long range mountain view! The house has three full baths with tub and shower, with a 9 jet Jacuzzi in the Master Bath! n nWhile the terrain for many mountain view home locations may feel a bit treacherous for younger kids, our homee28099s grassy hills are kid-friendly and provide a great place for sleddinge280a6on the grass as well as during the occasional winter snow. NEW FOR 2013: A fire pit has been installed on the ridge with a panoramic view of the mountains from three 6 ' custom built spruce benches. A great place for a cookout or to enjoy smors with the lids! The adjacent hillsides are also a favorite morning and evening hang-out for numerous white-tailed deer. Located on the side of the 3500e28099 Lyle Knob, you done28099t even need to get in your car to enjoy some great hiking. Exploring the undeveloped areas of Buck Mountain Estates on switch backing gravel paths provides some great aerobic exercise and stunning views at the higher elevations. Also new in 2013, a ping pong table has been added to the loft to create more inside family activities for rainy days! n nOur home is located one mile from US Highway 441, a short 10 minute drive to Franklin in Western North Carolina. It is 75 minutes from the Asheville Airport and 2 c2bd hours from the Atlanta Airport.

You can walk down to the river from the cabin and catch your trout dinner, travel a short ways to discover the Appalachian Trail and Benton MacKaye Trails, explore the Toccoa Swinging Bridge and The Chattahoochee Fish Hatchery all surrounding you in the National Forest. But maybe you are just looking to Get Away From It All and just relax. Above The River is just the cabin for you. This cabin is just a 15-30 minute drive to Blue Ridge, Ellijay and Blairsville. nThis 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin has three levels, The main floor has the living area with a gas fireplace, the dining and kitchen and the guest bedroom and a full bath. The large porch wraps around two sides of the cabin offering you the sights and sounds of the water cascading over the rocks in the river. nUpstairs, you will discover the master suite, with its own private bath and porch. This room also overlooks the escape of the river rapids. A breakfast nook has also been provided for 8. On this main level, you'll be find 2 Queen bedrooms with 2.5 bathrooms. Both bedrooms walk out onto the spacious main level deck and out to the river.
