Description:This magnificent castle dates back to the early Middle Ages (1200 AC), during which it was the focus of defence of the town of Gubbio against Perugia. Inaugurated in 2009 after four years of meticulous renovation, Castello Ducale is in the middle of an untouched village, surrounded by forests, meadows and near the waters of the river Chiascio. We are the largest vacation rental in Seattle offering between 10 and 14 guestrooms depending on your group 's size. The house sleeps up to 30 adults in beds with additional portable cribs and sleeping pads available for small children. Our kitchen offers two refrigerators, two range/ovens and we are fully stocked with cooking utensils and serving dishes.* Our off-street parking area can accommodate 7 vehicles with additional spaces in the alley behind the home. r n r nDuring the summer months guests have the pleasure of dining or relaxing on our covered porch. Our latitude allows for wonderfully long summer nights with sunsets as late as 9pm. It is a perfect way to take in our warm Seattle evenings after a long day of sightseeing. r n r nFor large families or groups we are are the perfect alternative to renting the typical block of rooms at the larger commercial establishments. We offer an intimate setting designed to be a home away from home while in Seattle. I Palazzi is made up of three distinct dwellings, the Palazzo (Palace), a vast three storey stone residence, Torre (Tower), situated between the Palazzo and the pool, and a beautiful farmhouse near the entrance of the property, outside the inner walls. The most fascinating and eye-catching is the Palazzo. The whole of the ground floor, now the lounge with a large fire-place at the centre of the room, was originally an Abbey, built in the year 1000. This is a rare example of historic architecture which has been adapted for contemporary use. The walls, ceilings and windows date back to Medieval times. n nThe owners ' love of beauty and antiquity is evident in the prestigious furniture present in the rooms, as also in the attention to detail, impressive antiques decorate the residence making it an exclusive and refined dwelling. The Palazzo has an internal lift to the top floor. Each floor is furnished differently, all to the same exquisite standards. n nAt about less then 10 metres from the Palazzo is the Torre. The lounge leads to three very luxurious rooms, these too, have been furnished with antiques. On the ground floor there is a kitchen and a changing room, which is accessible from the outside and very convenient when eating poolside. n nCasale is 120 meters away, recently refurbished and built on two floors. On the ground floor, there is a lounge with three main areas: the billiard table area, the lounge area and the central area with large old fireplace. At the opposite end of the lounge is the entrance to the apartment, in front of which there is a long wrought-iron pergola, where meals can be eaten al fresco. n nThe large 'infinity ' swimming pool, immersed in the surrounding countryside, is heated, and has comfortable garden furnishings which fit into the natural stone surroundings beautifully. There are plenty of lovely foot tracks weaving through the 12 hectare property. The ground-floor includes a very nice swimmingpool section with a 40 m2 large swimmingpool, a large jacuzzi for 6 persons, a shower and a sauna. From here you can access the separate dining room where 30 persons can be seated. The large windows towards the sea enable you to enjoy the magnificent view across the sea.
