Description:Hotel Casci is a small family run hotel centrally located in the heart of the historical center of Florence, only 150 meters from Florence Cathedral (Duomo) and the Academy of Fine Arts (David), just 10 minutes' walk from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Our hotel is located inside two palaces of the 15th century built at the time of the Medici family, and the rear part was a convent, hence comes a pretty special atmosphere of old-world charm, with original fresco ceilings and a maze of long carpeted hallways. Hotel Casci was started in 1926 by Mrs Casci and it was happily welcomed by the local press as the first hotel in Florence with hot and cold water in all rooms. Things have changed since then and it is now bigger and offers a lot more facilities.In central Florence:As the hotel is located in such an historical palace in central Florence, all the 24 rooms are different as far as space, décor and view are concerned - however they are all equipped with private bathroom and modern comforts such as air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV/DVD, telephone, safety box and refrigerator!Although we don’t have sparkling luxury décor, we are happy to welcome guests in 24 rooms that are extremely clean and comfortable, all offering en suite private bathrooms, new firm beds, air conditioning, wi-fi, etc. Several non smoking rooms are available on request.SINGLE ROOM:A room for one person only.DOUBLE ROOM:A room for two people with one large bed, i.e. usually for a couple.TWIN BEDDED ROOM :A room for two people with two twin beds.TRIPLE ROOM:A larger room for three people, with either a double bed plus a single one OR three twin beds.QUAD ROOM:A larger room for four people, with either a double bed plus two twin ones OR four twin beds.For larger families and small groups, we offer two quintuple rooms, i.e. rooms for five people with children’s bedroom in separate alcove off the main room. The kids will love being in “their own room” while still really in yours!
