Description:Hey there! Please view calendar for availability. This is a 1 bedroom / 1 bath apartment with kitchen that opens into a dining room / living room area. Spacious back porch with plants and hummingbird feeder ideal for outdoor meals or just a cup of morning coffee. You’ll have the place all to yourself. Location: Middle of the Mission District (near Guerrero and 19th) 5 1/2 blocks from BART 2 1/2 blocks from major bus lines and Muni. 1 block from Dolores Park Surrounded by nightlife, coffee shops, restaurants, bookstores, taquerias, etc. Good stuff: • Quiet, especially for this location. Apartment is at back of a 2-unit building, so street and building noise is minimal. EDIT - The upstairs neighbors just had a a baby. The baby cries sometimes, but you can barely hear it in the bedroom. I occasionally sleep with earplugs and then can't hear it at all. • Full kitchen with gas stove, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, pots, pans, wine glasses, and pretty much everything else you could need. • Help yourself to sugar, flour, oil, etc. if you decide to cook. Description:This is mostly a weekend rental It is only available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. If you'd like to stay, please go ahead and book it. No need to contact us first... Our stand-alone cottage is nestled behind our house on a large, beautiful, quiet property located in a great neighborhood in West Berkeley with a walkscore of 88. We are near shops, a variety of restaurants, pubs, the post office, and library as well as public transportation (bus & BART), the freeway, and one mile west of UC Berkeley. Amenities include one queen futon bed, full kitchen w/ basic cooking supplies, bathroom with standing shower, wireless Internet, stereo/CD player, books, BBQ, and use of the sunny front yard and shady backyard. We do have an air mattress for extra guests. In response to Cricket's review, we have fixed our wireless and a now have a new bistro set for inside the cottage. If you have cat allergies, rest assured that our cats never go into the cottage and we keep our linens away from them as much as possible. Check-in on Saturdays and Sundays is flexible, but Fridays is 6pm. Check-out can be flexible if we arrange in advance.

You can take your bike off the back of your car, which has a covered parking spot, and not touch your car keys again the entire time you are here! You can stroll or roll in to town in mere minutes. There are hiking and biking trails in every direction. Clamber up Mt. Tam or the Dipsea steps or coast in to Sausalito and play tourist, enjoy some fresh crab bayside. Maybe take the ferry in to SF for one of the best farmer's markets in the country and not have to think about parking or traffic. You could also just cozy up with a book in a comfy chair, put your feet up and just chill.... or perhaps catch a movie at the Sequoia, a grand old 2-screen theatre with a balcony. There are also two live theaters within walking distance, in addition to boutiques and galleries. Golden Gate transit is 1 block away. This apt offers: 2 decks front and back with beautiful early morning light off the living room and late afternoon sun streaming into the bedroom. High speed wifi, cable, DVD player, stereo etc... cell phone reception is clear everywhere, no land line. Full bath and kitchen w/ dishwasher. Floor to ceiling windows in living room and bedroom (which has a queen size bed). Fireplace (more atmospheric than an actual source of heat). No one above you and you couldn't ask for better neighbors below and across. Absolutely NO SMOKING, NO PETS and being a vegetarian would be a plus. This apt. REALLY is in the town of Mill Valley, not Tam Valley or Strawberry. You can practically smell the coffee beans roasting downtown and you'll have to choose Peets, the Depot or the Roastery? Smack dab in the middle of either the Mill Valley Market or Whole Foods, (MVM better for most things), decisions, decisions. The rate is $700 a week or $120 a night with a 2 night minimum in addition to a $60 cleaning/tax fee.
