There is a half-bath outside the door. r n One flight up contains the master bath, a loft office area and the master bedroom. The bedroom has a large closet, writing desk and easy chair. There is lots of ventilation and light. r n From the second floor loft, there is a stair outside that leads to a huge deck with both open and covered area. Malena truly enjoys giving Mexican cooking lessons. n nThis house is designed so visitors can have their own space. Not just a bedroom door to close for privacy but two actual efficiency apartments in addition to the main house, a real retreat for an afternoon nap or an early morning cup of coffee. n nThe rooftop terrace is an ideal oasis to sip a Margarita while enjoying a lovely sunset. Very private for sunbathing, meditating, or reading. n nThere will be a light meal waiting for you upon arrival and a full Mexican breakfast the following morning. Manuel can take you for your initial grocery/liquor shopping for a nominal fee. n nThis was a perfect vacation! Your home is very special! You thought of everything. You have thought of everything to accommodate first time visitors to San Miguel. We enjoyed both Malena and Jose pampering us every single day. It was so nice to be able to call our at home family in the states using the free Vonage phone and we were also able to keep in touch with our business associates using the wifi Internet. Every single room is well appointed, comfortable and private. Thank you, thank you, thank you...it was an ideal vacation. n nWe spent our honeymoon here and what a great choice. This house affords privacy and that is what we hoped for. Malena seemed to stay invisible but was there when we needed her. She really was such a joy to have around. We had stayed in San Miguel in the past and were high up on the hill and did not like that location at all, the next time we stayed in the downtown and it was so noisy we could not sleep. This location was perfect for us and we enjoyed the short walk to everything. n nSpending three weeks in this ideal rental home was such a treat! Very convenient location and the house layout suited our needs for three couples. The house has fine architectural details which interested the licensed architect and home designer in our group. The neighbors and children in the neighborhood were very friendly. We could not believe how private the design of this home is - you would think you were on an island yet a short walk to shops,galleries, Instituto for classes and great restaurants. What a difficult choice to go out to eat since we loved Malena 's cooking. She taught the ladies several special Mexican recipes. We will certainly want to return to Happy Villa n n

The bathroom houses a shower and a separate toilet stall decorated with niches and colonial accessories. nThe second floor is an open concept living room and kitchen overlooking the courtyard. The living area is perfect for entertaining and the kitchen contains a stairway that leads to a lovely rooftop terrace. A dumbwaiter services all three floors of the house. nThe Rooftop Terrace comprises the entire upper level and features a jacuzzi dipping pool with panoramic views of the town and mountains. The green house serves as a charming candle-lit dining area for ten, complete with heated floors and powder room. The large Mexican barbecue, ice machine, fireplaces and fully stocked cupboards are always ready for your private fiesta! nSan Miguel Allende is a family oriented town and lively artists’, community. The cultural scene offers jazz, cabaret and chamber music, as well as dance, film, theater and a wealth of festive social gatherings.
