Subject to increased nightly price on certain high demand dates, and seasonal rate changes - check listing calendar as varying rates are always posted in advance. At this time, I'm sorry to report that I can no longer allow pets to stay at my rental. :( REGARDING DIRECTIONS TO MY RENTAL, PLEASE READ One of the best features of my studio is that it is a separate, detached, and very private unit from the main house on the property, with its own separate private parking space, fenced yard, and it's own, separate entrance. For these reasons, I give booked guests SIMPLE, exact directions on how to reach the studio, and I meet them there to check in. The studio has the same address as the front house, but is at the rear of the property and is accessed by an alley which runs parallel the full length of Pacheco Ave.. I always provide exact directions via email after bookings, SO PLEASE FOLLOW THEM AND MEET ME THERE, NOT AT THE MAIN HOUSE, (simply because if I am awaiting your arrival at your actual destination, I will not hear you knocking on the door of a different house). Description:Lighthouse View Villa nLighthouse View Villa is a top of the world, 3-story home that has one of the BEST views in Santa Cruz. From the top deck, you can see the lighthouse at the end of the Harbor, the famous Giant Dipper at the Boardwalk, the Santa Cruz wharf, the Twin Lakes Lagoon & the Surfer Museum Lighthouse! This deck has 2 lounge chairs to relax in and a hot tub big enough for 4-6 guests. nThe Lighthouse View Villa is just 4-houses to the beach and a 30-second walk to the sand. Enjoy the spectacular ocean view from the master bedroom with a private deck that has a patio table and chairs for your morning coffee. This is luxurious living at its best. nThe large kitchen has four bar stools at a teak counter, teak cabinets, & a Jen-Aire inside grill on the stove top! There is also a high top table with six chairs. The deck has a gas BBQ and a four person table right outside. The vaulted ceiling living room has a very large sectional couch as well as other chairs to enjoy the flat screen TV with a DVD player or to get cozy by the fireplace. Close to the living room there is also a 1/2 bath. nThis spacious, well decorated & comfortable home has stained glass windows with silk rose and shell decorations. There are three bedrooms downstairs. The first bedroom has one queen bed with a TV. There is a full bath with a shower between the 1st and 2nd bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has a king bed with a private door to the bathroom. Also downstairs past the hallway there is a door that makes the 3rd bedroom with 2 Pullman-style bunk beds (built into the walls) with cozy reading lamps and a dresser. Just past these beds is a queen futon that makes into a bed. nThe 4th bedroom is on the 2nd floor. This elegant & spacious master bedroom has a king bed, 42 inch flat-screen TV and a double vanity bathroom with a large tile shower area and a marvelous view of the ocean. Description:The Cottage at Green Gates is a Tidy 1 bed/1bath Tudor guest house situated on our large lot, a five minute walk from Asilomar State Beach. The cottage is offered fully furnished with kitchenette, organic fair trade coffee, selection of teas, and each morning we serve you a light breakfast. (i.e. scrambled eggs or yogurt granola, organic local fruit, homemade bread, etc.) Note: if you have food allergies or dietary limitations of any kind, please let us know in advance, we're happy to accommodate you! Though our dogs do not go in the guest cottage, if you suffer from severe pet allergies you should know that dogs do roam the yard from time to time, and there might have been a guest pup in the cottage prior to your reservation. Though we do clean the cottage thoroughly between guests, it is certainly likely that allergens could still be present. 2. Additionally, you should know that approximately once per week (usually Thursdays or Fridays) we have our weekly yard service. Sometimes the maintenance is relatively quiet (raking, trimming, etc.) and sometimes the situation is far more noisy (leaf blowers, weed whackers, and the like). Most guests haven't minded, but someone mentioned it recently and we figured going forward, our guests should know what to expect. 3. If you accidentally take the Aquarium Guest Passes with you when you depart, we will expect you to overnight them back to us at your expense so that we can offer the same courtesy to our next guests. 4. For reservations booked after May 2012, we are asking for a 2 night minimum. If you've booked prior to May 2012, we will absolutely honor your reservation for 1 night. Description:The Blue Whale nThe Blue Whale is a unique house that has one home upstairs and one downstairs. This setup makes it great for family reunions and group retreats. You get the best of two worlds: everyone is together, yet there is plenty of privacy with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens and 2 hot tubs. Grandpa and Grandma can stay on the ground level if they don 't want to always walk upstairs, and they can watch their little grandkids play in the enclosed front patio downstairs. Moms, Dad, Uncles, Aunts & Cousins can BBQ on the deck upstairs, dine outdoors, lounge in the sun, have a glass of wine and watch the ocean and the Sunsets. Teenagers can quickly walk the 90-steps to the beach. When they come back they can use the warm water outdoor showers to remove sand and jump in one of the two hot tubs. For dinner, you can use the large kitchen, dining and living room area and everyone can gather upstairs and enjoy the great setup with the large dining table, living room, fireplace, and deck with the view. After dinner, all can stroll to the Seacliff State Beach Park 's wharf, down to the cement ship and watch the sunset from the wharf. nThe whole house has: wireless internet, LCD HD flat screen TVs, stereo, linens with beds freshly made, towels, bathroom sink amenities, boogie boards and assorted bicycles. nThe upstairs home has great views from the large balcony including a beautiful view of the beach. There are 3 comfortable bedrooms, a kitchen, laundry, dining and living room areas. You can comfortably sleeps up to 10-guests with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Other amenities include a fireplace, large deck with an ocean view, BBQ grill and deck furniture. The hot tub is located on the ground level down a quick set of stairs. The living room has a sectional sofa bed and a love seat that sleep 3 in front of the fireplace and a flat screen TV. The Master bedroom has a King bed, full bathroom & large closet. The second bedroom has another King bed and a Twin bed. Finally, bedroom 3 has a Queen bed and a set of Twin bunk beds & walk-in closet. The large Laundry room with washer & dryer is near the Kitchen. nThe downstairs home features an awesome patio and gazebo-enclosed hot tub and another BBQ with outdoor furniture and lighting. You 've got everything you need, a home away from home with lots of comfort. Description:A quaint getaway known as The Shack has come to be known for its simplicity warmth and comfort. Seventy-five years of memories have been made here since it was first built on the ridge overlooking the Monterey Bay to one side, and the Santa Cruz Mountains to the other. In the 30 's it saw the likes of John Steinbeck and Jimmy Stewart. In the 40 's and 50 's it served as the honeymoon cabin for just about all the family relatives. The 60 's as the perfect summer vacation spot and the main flights between the kids revolved around who got the built- in bunk beds or the loft. Today it usually serves as a place to simply get away. A charming, knotty pine shinned living room is focused on a large wood burning brick fireplace adjacent to a picture window providing a great view of the Bay. it is The place to curl up with a book or gaze into the fire after a day at the beach. Two generations of kids have grown up spending much of their summers on Rio del Mar beach which is a huge beach that is perfect for kids and only 1-1/2 miles away. Seascape Resort and Seascape golf course are about 5 minutes away. The interior of the house is very comfortable and has two separate areas to hang out. There is a den area attached to the kitchen as well as the very separate living room. Each room has a wide screen TV but often one room has people quietly playing games and reading while the other is filled with laughter and cheers. The kitchen has a bar/counter with 4 stools and a table for 4. There is a large table in the living room which seats 8 for dining and also makes a great area to play games. The master bedroom has its own bath with shower.The bunk room is simply 2 extra wide built-in bunks and the loft is a double bed only. There is a separate bathroom as well as a dressing room/closet.
