Nestled in the verdant hills of pristine Chianti landscape lies Le Valle, a 16th Century Casa Colonica. Many centuries ago it was a farm house and guard tower for the nearby Castello Mugnana. Magnificently restored 5 years ago the owners paid exquisite attention to every detail. Furnished with 18th century Country French antiques, chandelier lit throughout, and adorned with European fabrics and accessories, this home will at once take your breath away and make you feel enveloped by warmth. r n r nThe three bedrooms in the main house all have en-suite bathrooms. All of the beds have top of the line mattresses and the master has a Duxiana bed, said to be the finest in the world. The marble master bath has a soaking tub and two person steam shower. The kitchen has hand hewn French cabinetry, and is equipped with everything for the most discerning of gourmet cooks. The family room has a massive stone fireplace which can be used for cooking as well as an entertainment system and a vast selection of movies and music. The stone floors throughout and the thick walls provide a cooler temperature in the summer months although every window is screened and fans are provided. r n r nThe guest house, just across the front patio and down a few steps sleeps four comfortable and has its own kitchen, marble bath and fireplace. The house and guest house combined is ideal for three couples and/or families with children. r n r nThere are 4 separate terraces with tables and seating each with a more gorgeous view than the next. The BOSE Entertainment system provides music to the pool and patio areas. The tumbled marble salt water pool is 5x12 meters and has an electric cover. The pool area has lots of lounge chairs for reading or sunbathing and there are vistas that overlook two nearby castles. There is an organic garden for the use of our guests adjacent to the wood fired pizza oven and barbeque where you can dine alfresco under the beautiful vine covered pergola. r n r nThere are miles and miles of hiking trails right outside the door and a Roman road which dates back over 2000 years. You can find waterfalls and a swimming hole within a 15 minute hike from the house. One of the best restaurants in Tuscany is a spectacular 1 hour hike from the property. r n r nThe Superstrada and Autostrada are within 15 minutes by car. The village of Strada in Chianti is 4 km away where there are a few restaurants, food markets and a pharmacy. The town of Greve is 8 km away where you will find a Saturday open air market, wine tasting, shopping and cafes. The towns of Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca, Montepulciano, and Montalcino are all close day trips from the property. Description:Casa Giobatta B is a 120 square meter (approximately 1290 square feet) cottage in the countryside for six people, with a private patio and garden, and shared swimming pool and tennis court. It is 20 km (approximately 12 miles) from Siena and 80 km (50 miles) from Florence . n nIt has a bedroom with a double bed, two bedrooms with two single beds each, two full bathrooms and a bathroom with toilet only, a living room with a fireplace and a kitchen. n nThe house n nCasa Giobatta B is built on two levels. You will have at your disposal a large private garden, with a lawn edged by high and shadowy trees. In a corner, adjacent to the house, you will find a large patio, partly shaded by a wood roof. The patio is equipped with a table and chairs. Sitting and relaxing there, you will have in front of you a wide view of the hills. You will enter the living room from the garden through a large glass door. The living room in an elegant and welcoming room, with a nice fireplace. A sofa and armchairs are placed in front of the fireplace. n nA large arch made of red bricks separates the sitting area from the cooking/dining area. In the cooking area you will find a four-burner cooker, an oven, a refrigerator with freezer and a dishwasher. The washing machine is located in a shared area, where you will also be able to hang your clothes to dry. From the living room you will be able to reach a small bathroom which only has a wash basin, a toilet and a bidet. n nThe bedrooms are located on the first floor, and you will be able to reach them along an internal stairway. There are two bathrooms: one of them has a bath tub, the other one has a shower. n nThe house is furnished in a complete and accurate way, in the characteristic style of the Tuscan countryside. The floors are of terracotta tile, and the ceilings have exposed wooden beams. n nThe house has a parking lot and is equipped with winter heating. n nThe location n nThe house is part of a seventeenth-century hamlet, made up of a noble villa, a church and a small group of houses. Casa Giobatta B is wall to wall to the lovely little church. It used to be the home of the local priest. n nAll around you will only see the splendid countryside. Indeed a large farming estate surrounded this hamlet back in the seventeenth century, and today it still does. The estate covers more than a thousand hectares (2470 acres) on the hills near Siena. The area is part of the Crete Senesi, a protected area rich of historical and natural beauties. All around you will see low argillaceous hills that are spread out like waves in the ocean as far as meets the eye. You will be in the middle of the most famous and reproduced Tuscan scenery in paintings! n nHere every season of the year carries its fascinating trait: in spring, hues of light green cover the hills and lawns, in summer, the golden color of wheat takes over the hills, and during fall, thousands of swarthy and dark green shades dominate. n nThe farming estate where Casa Giobatta B is located organically grows wheat used for the making of pasta, fodder for its own livestock, the Chianina cattle breed, and extra-virgin olive oil. n nBoth villa and hamlet have been renovated into vacation houses, a process which respected the former architectural structure of the buildings made of stones and red bricks. n nThe guests of the farmhouse share a large swimming pool, a tennis court and a children 's playground. n nAs you arrive, look around.
