Description:Villa Tripalo is a Secessionist building dating back to the 1920s, situated in a quiet corner less than 100 metres from the main square (Pijaca) in Sinj, occupying a site covering more than 4,000 mc2b2. Restoration work on the villa began in 2007, following conservation and restoration research, with the primary aim of reproducing the original appearance of the villa as far as possible, both externally and internally, during the renovation work. With the help of builders and restorers licensed by the Ministry of Culture, the villa has been restored and transformed into a building worthy of visitors to Dalmatia of refined taste. The villa is a memorial to the Croatian politician Ante Miko Tripalo, the leader of the e2809cCroatian Springe2809d movement, whose bust stands at the entrance. n nVilla Tripalo is a protected cultural monument (ruling no. 17/3-1997, dated 8 August 1997, issued by the Conservation Institute for Dalmatia in Split and entered in the Registry of Immoveable Cultural Monuments of the Regional Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Split, reg. no. 1430). It has the status of a cultural good. n nThe spacious park is walled, and the entrance to the house is on the north side, through a gateway fitted with original, wrought iron gates. The roof has been restored to its original condition and the fac3a7ade renewed according to the original, in terms of both the colour and quality of the plaster used, and the decorations. The east porch has a typical double-winged staircase and two balconies with decorative concrete balustrades. These balustrades and the glazed veranda on the south-west side of the building give the villa its country house character. The interior has been decorated throughout with geometric patterns and motifs from the plant world, which were rediscovered during restoration work, and implemented in order to reconstruct the original appearance of the rooms as far as possible. Villa Tripalo is characterised by period woodwork, particularly the external and internal door-frames, with brass features, decorative carvings and panels in the Secessionist style. The wrought iron features of the house are also all original, including the outer gates and basement window grilles. The villa has been furnished with period pieces and top quality Baroque and Empire style furniture, finished with carefully chosen textiles. The final touch is given by the carefully selected period tableware and light fixtures. Works of art by eminent Croatian painters and sculptors add a special value to the house. n nVilla Tripalo is a two-storey building consisting of a basement and raised ground floor. Each floor covers 175 mc2b2. The original aspect of the house meant it was built around a central corridor running from east to west, linking the porch on the east side with the glazed veranda on the west side. There are three well-appointed rooms to the north and south of the corridor. Today, each has its own dressing-room and bathroom. The living area occupies the most favourable, southwest section of the house. Distinguished visitors to this Secessionist villa can enjoy the additional benefits of modern times, such as air-conditioning in all rooms, satellite TV in the salon and bedrooms, a home cinema, coffee machines and other equipment and technical specifications. The kitchen and study are fully equipped. The sauna, gym, massage room and billiard room are located in the basement, along with the all-important wine cellar, which occupies what used to be a secret room in the cellar. There is a restored decorative arbour in the north section, once used to house small animals, while the original single-storey outbuilding, formerly used to store garden tools, has been transformed into a comfortable guest house and swimming pool, with all modern conveniences. n nNot many people know about the Dalmatian hinterland, and there is a lot of prejudice. For centuries, it was considered unimportant, though it deserves to be presented in all its glory, from the valuable heritage which witnesses to the dramatic historical events which took place here, to the majestic diversity of its unspoilt landscapes. The mountains are a great place for cycling, rock-climbing, hiking and walking, the fast-flowing rivers are ideal for rafting, canoeing and kayaking, the lakes are suitable for rowing, and the fields and woods a perfect place for horse-riding. The Dalmatian hinterland is a paradise for hedonists, whether those who love nature, activity and seeing the sights, or those who enjoy good food. The arambac5a1ic487i of Sinj and the knightse28099 tournament known as the Sinj Alka are on the UNESCO list of protected Croatian intangible heritage. Local fare includes meat and vegetables roasted in the oven under a baking dome, Dalmatian prosciutto, cheeses, pies, the inevitable wine and, from the rivers and lakes, frogs, trout, crayfish and other delicacies to make life sweeter.

Description:This is an absolutely breath-taking studio home in Hampstead, North London. Within walking distance there is Belsize Park tube station, served by the Northern Line which will have you in central London (Tottenham Court Road) within twenty minutes. Close by is the wonderful open space that is Hampstead Heath which is a perfect place for leisurely strolls. It is also a woodland reserve, teeming with wildlife as well as boasting some breath-taking stretches of water. Situated a short distance away is Haverstock Hill, a high-street teeming with restaurants and bar to suit every fancy. This is also the proud home to the Everyman Cinema (Belsize Park)- a luxury single screen cinema with leather seats and a wide selection of both mainstream and art-house films on show in case of a rainy day! nThe property itself could not be more stunning. Upon entry you are greeted with a large, double-height studio space with white wood ceiling panels, white beams and lots of glass. To your right there is a stylish feature fire-place and a chimney breast covered in exotic brown-red tiles. Straight ahead is the living area. This has two vibrant, squashy red sofas and interesting pictures as well as a very large wall-mounted flat-screen TV. This would be a perfect spot to snuggle up with a glass of wine after dinner and watch a film or just generally chill out. To the right of the living area, running along the wall, is the sleek kitchen. This has white cabinets and an in-built oven as well as all mod-cons including toaster, kettle etc. There is a large glass panel running the length of the kitchen area, allowing in plenty of sun-light in the day and (weather permitting) some moonlight in the evenings! nBeyond the living area is a bright dining area with a sleek glass-top table that seats four but can be extended outwards. There is also no shortage of light in this area as there are glass skylights and large floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Through these doors is an intimate and leafy patio area. This feels very private due to the high walls with ivy growing up them and the trees surrounding it. There are two chairs and low-level spot-lighting that would light the area up beautifully in the evening. nBack in the house and up the stairs you reach the mezzanine level with the bedroom and bathroom. Here there is a large double bed and a low bedside table. Opposite the sleeping area is a door to the bathroom which is finished in neutral tiles and has a sink, toilet and a large corner bath which would be perfect for a luxurious soak. Easily one of the nicest parts of the house is the area just beyond the bed. Here there is what could be called a sun-room, where there is space for a single mattress for a child, this area currently has a chest of draws, a recliner chair and plenty of light coming in from large glass doors and sky-lights. Through these doors is a large balcony area that overlooks the lovely garden. nA mere two stops from Belsize Park is Camden town station and the buzzing area of Camden itself. Here you can visit quirky Camden Market where there is plenty of things to see and buy. This leads onto a narrow winding pathway to the house entrance with an open porch and beautiful natural stone well. nThrough a quaint handmade wooden door you enter the large open country kitchen that oozes with character that sets the theme for the rest of the house, with patio doors leading to the fantastic outside pool. Back in the kitchen there is a reclaimed stone butler sink, extensive tiled work surfaces and ample cupboard space, full size fridge and separate full size freezer. To add to the social family area is a centre island with stools for family and friends to sit around and chat while you cook up a delight on the double hob and oven.The open kitchen leads onto the dining area which is in the heart of the house with a large dining table which seats 8 comfortably. Behind the large table is the real log burning fire and above is the open gallery with open railings and water fountain feature and an interior mediteranean style window. In the dining room is also the music system which controls the multi room audio system for inside and outside the house as well as a docking station for your ipod to enjoy your very own special holiday sounds.The cosy lounge is separated from the dining area and kitchen by the two huge original wooden doors. In this room you can relax on two ample sized cream leather sofas to catch up with Sky TV and DVDs for the kids. There are also two patio doors from here leading to the large outside patio and pool area.From the lounge you enter the downstairs kingsize bedroom that exudes character and comfort, with a window that looks out onto the patio and pool area.From the dining area there is the original staircase made from antique tiles leading to the upper interior gallery.The first bedroom you come to is the large master bedroom again full of character, with drapes over the bed, separate sofa and a romantic balcony of grapevines and flowers overlooking the very inviting pool. From here you have breathtaking views stretching across the orange groves in the valley to the stunning surrounding mountains all the way down to the Mediterranean sea.The terrace also has multi room audio system.The sunset from this spot is incredible, a must with a glass of wine. nThe huge flat plot has an abundance of various fruit trees and grapevines perfect for the kids to have an adventure climbing trees and playing on rope swings while you relax in the hammock set between the trees.There are also several seating areas round this shaded side of the house where you can shelter from the midday sun under the trees and grapevines.On the poolside of the garden is an open lawned area with swing and slide, a kids toy log cabin and a mini goal and football playing area to keep the kids entertained.The pool is fenced off from this area to give you peace of mind whilst the children play safely in the garden.On the south facing pool side of the house you can enjoy the Spanish sun for over 320 days of the year, it is a real sun trap for both winter and summer lets, with a huge terrace with 8 sun loungers, a gorgeous comfortable 3 piece sofa and table under a large parasol for those warmer months. The area offers breath-taking scenery for a pleasant drive and in February this is the best place to see the almond blossom and green valleys covered in orange trees.This original village has cafe bars & restaurants where you can enjoy drinks or traditional tapas along the main street , many of the fac3a7ades of the houses are painted in vivid colours, which give the village a lively appearance. Around the main square you can see some of the most beautiful 19th Century facades as well as e2809cels Porxese2809d: the market square is covered with Arabic tiles and constructed with cast-iron pillars and wooden beams.Pedregeur offers visitors the chance to take a walk through the town centre and discover beautiful ancient buildings such as the parish church of Santa Cruz (16th century). This festival starts on the 5th of January. It is the day that the Spanish traditionally celebrate their Christmas. nOn the 17th of January the people of Pedreguer celebrate the Fiestas of San Antonio Abad, with pilgrimage, blessing of animals and popular celebrations.
