Description:We have three suites. They all take up the entire second floor of The Cooperage Inn, one block from Sonoma Plaza, shops, restaurants and tasting rooms. n nThe decor for the BARCELONA and all the suites is very original and comfortable withc2a0renaissance antique andc2a0mid-century modern furnishings, oriental rugs,c2a0chandeliers, ceiling fans, air conditioning, original art, mixed with modern conveniences (cable HBO,c2a0wifi for example). n n Exotic turn of century European charm mixes with the more elegant side of old west pioneer days. All suites have family antiques (from the California Silver rush called The Comstock Load).They have separate sitting rooms and private baths with double marble sinks. The Barcelona Suite and the MILANO SUITE both have fully equipped country kitchens while the BONNEMORT has a kitchenette in the sitting room. The MILANO and BONNEMORT Suites are commonly put together for parties of three to six. Even though there are kitchens, an elaborate continental breakfast is brought to your door each morning. n n THE BARCELONA SUITE: The 900 sq. ft. Barcelona suite feels a lot c2a0like traveling abroad. With it 's eclectic mix of decor, renaissance antiques, oriental rugs, Mid-century modern, original art, Gourmet country kitchen, along with 46 sony HD TV, cable HBO, and Wi-Fi, it adds up to a wonderful mix of style and modern convenience. The suite has a large living room/ dining nroom , 2 air conditioned bedrooms, one with king bed and the other with queen bed, country kitchen with all utensils, large bathroom with double marble sinks and a tub/shower. The suite is in the front second floor of the historic Cooperage building with private stairway, one block from the Sonoma plaza, and looks out over the city and Depot park across the street. Depot park has horseshoe pits, the largest petanque courts in the U.S., swings for children and the Sonoma bike path runs through it. Many of our guests rent bicycles delivered to the door and tour the city and close by wineries and shops and restaurants without ever getting back in their car. A nice patio area with tables, umbrellas, and a barbecue are open in the back. nThe suite is in the front second floor of the historic Cooperage building with private stairway, one block from the Sonoma Plaza, andc2a0looks out over the city and Depot park across the street. The rates is $375. a night . Find yourselves one mile from the Vineman bike route, three miles from Lake Sonoma, nine miles from Healdsburg, where you can rent a kayak for kayaking down the Russian River or rent a bike to go biking in the Dry Creek Valley, and also located within walking or biking distance of numerous wineries for an exquisite wine tasting experience. n nWinter brings a more quiet time and our farm can become a secluded restorative hideaway for rest and relaxation. Reading, long walks in the fresh air, contemplation and clarification...all are possible. n nA Continental breakfast of fresh fruit, with choice of muffin or croissant is provided, along with orange juice, and a hot pot for fresh-brewed tea and/or coffee from fresh ground coffee beans from our local Flying Goat coffee shop. Description:This is more like a mini-resort than a just a room. It is a totally independent and very roomy cabaña that includes its own living room area, a private bath, a partial kitchen, and it is right next to a large swimming pool. Sleeping accommodations include a queen size bed and one twin bed, which are in a quiet adjoining bedroom by the garden. We provide a computer with Internet access and a printer for you, with bookmarked pages of local attractions. There is no television, but there is a 47 widescreen TV with a DVD player. We offer a number of DVDs for you to borrow, plus there's also a Redbox kiosk for rentals less than a mile away. Please note that this unit is only available from March through mid-October. Also, it is not suitable for children under 16. The independent unit is on a pleasant 1/2 acre of gardened land. Our neighborhood is rural and tranquil, but also quite close to city amenities. A special attraction are three nearby parks. All are within easy walking distance: the city's Howarth Park, the county's Spring Lake Park, and beautiful Annadel State Park. Depending on your time and inclination, you might enjoy a short walk through oak woods, a little longer stroll around one of the lakes, or as much as a full-day of hiking--all right outside the gate of your accommodations. Annadel State Park has dozens of well-marked trails you could spend several days exploring its varied vistas. You're likely to see deer, geese, ducks, and wild turkeys, but if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a fox or a bobcat. These same areas make for delightful runs, also. Just 54 miles north of San Francisco, we are located in the heart of California's best “wine country. Some fine wineries are only a few minutes drive along Highway 12, which winds through the gorgeous and unforgettable Sonoma Valley. Other excellent Sonoma County appellations (e.g., Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, etc.) are just a short distance north. Heading west along the Russian River, Northern California's beautiful coast is only 25 miles away,and (certainly if you have time and have never experienced their majesty), some Redwood groves are not very far, either. It's a great area for photography! Sonoma County is fabulous country for cycling, too! You may want to visit the website of the Santa Rosa Cycling Club to get an idea of the range of possibilities awaiting you here. Check out their ride archive, for instance, which details a range of rides leaving from nearby Howarth Park. The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition website also provides a variety of enjoyable cycling options. (We have printed copies of the maps and directions for a number of these local adventures for you, as well as information about local bike rentals. Our favorite local bike rental for quality, service, and price is After you've enjoyed visiting some charming local wineries and have savored their fine wines, or after you've taken in some of the local natural beauty, you'll experience additional pleasure relaxing by the beautiful swimming pool. Then it will be time for dinner in one of the many great local restaurants. We'll be glad to make some recommendations, depending on your favorite cuisine, your budget for the day, or your mood. There is quite a range from which to choose, with some good restaurants literally within walking distance, and many others just a short drive away. Finally, you'll sleep undisturbed under a comforter on a comfortable mattress, and you'll awaken to a delicious continental breakfast (with fruit, juice, coffee or tea, and home-baked goodies)--ready to enjoy another great day in Sonoma County, or already making plans for your return trip!
