My clean, comfortable, fully furnished 1000 sq. ft. apartment is centrally located in the charming mountain town of Truckee (elev. 5800 ft.), making it the perfect get-away spot for those wishing to relax and enjoy all that this amazing area has to offer. With downtown historic Truckee only 1.5 miles away, you can spend the day learning about Truckee's colorful and varied past, or enjoy shopping it's many stores, or pop in for a meal at some of the best restuarants the North Shore has to offer. If visiting Lake Tahoe is on the agenda, a 15 minute drive from my apartment past Northstar will drop you into King's Beach right on the water, or carry on a bit further to Incline Village if visiting the casinos or listening to world class music acts is more your style. A scenic 30 minute drive that follows the Truckee River past Squaw Valley (a great day trip all to itself!) brings you to Lake Tahoe via Tahoe City, a bustling place of good fun, food, and fantastic views! Year round the North Shore has plenty to offer. Summer is a perfect time to get away from scorching valley temperatures to go hiking, mountain biking, fishing, rock climbimg, kyaking, road biking, golfing (frisbee golf, as well!), swimming and much much more. Winter is a world unto its own and some of the best downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoing and snowmobiling in the world can be found right here in Truckee. My apartment's location offers many of these activities without ever having to get into your car and drive. Foot and bike paths run right through the apartment complex and will take you downtown, to the Truckee River or to trails open for hiking and biking. Grey's Crossing golf course is in my backyard, and when this is covered in snow during the winter, makes for wonderful snowshoeing or cross country skiing. My apartment is bright and has lots of amenities such as fridge, microwave, oven, full shower and bath, HDTV with blue-ray disc player, wi-fi, laundry facilities, and designated parking space. With a deck that overlooks the forest, you can enjoy the natural beauty of this area while you rest and unwind.
