Description:Our apartment has the most exciting location in the bohemian and hipster district of Kallio in Helsinki downtown. Excellent public transportation options: number 1, 3, 8 and 9 trams just around the corner and 200 metres to Hakaniemi metro station. With tram it takes 10-15 minutes to the city centrum. Grocery store 30 metres away (you can actually see it from the window), one of the most popular theaters in Helsinki (Ryhmäteatteri) on the other side of the road. All the bars and pubs in the lively Kallio close by. There are also many small parks surrounding our block and a gym / swimming hall / bowling alley on the other side of the road. The Linnanmäki amusement park is also within 200 metres of walk, and the Olympic Stadium is also very near. Our apartment (60m2) is renovated and decorated with style but also with an original touch. We have lots of art in the walls and there is also a small Ateljé in the magnificent bay window area. In the apartment there is 1 bedroom with a very good futon bed (real bed), full kitchen with stove, oven and dishwasher and all the equipment you might need (also fridge-freezer), a living room with large sofa (sleeps 2) and wide screen television ( dvd stereosoundsystem) and a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. Lots of cupboard space and linen and towels included. The apartment is on the 4th floor and NO elevator. We have a dog. Just to let you know, if you have a bad allergy etc... Description:Just a 10-20 minute walk from the central attractions, railway and bus stations as well as the southern and western boat terminals, this 33 m2 studio in the trendy design district of Punavuori has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a tub, 1 double and 1 single bed. Towels and linen are provided. The kitchen was renovated in February 2012 and you'll find everything you need there. Despite the central location, the building is very quiet (no loud music or showering after 11 p.m is allowed). A sauna and swimming pool are available for use on Friday evenings. Smoking is allowed on the balcony. The studio is spaceous for one, comfortable for two and nice even for three people. There's a small playground and a park just outside, as well as popular restaurants, trendy clubs, bars, shops and galleries. Visit the Design museum, Sinebrykoff Museum, Modern art museum Kiasma, or the museums and cinemas in Tennispalatsi, or go shopping on Iso-Roba, in Kamppi, Ruoholahti or Aleksanterinkatu - all just a few minutes away. The big warehouse you see in the street view is actually a live music venue called Nosturi 'The crain'. Other concert venues just around the corner include the Alexander theatre and Gloria, and the ones in the center are a walking distance away. Located by the sea, there's even a tiny beach just a few minutes away in Eiranranta. In winter you can go sled riding or practice ice skating in the park (remind me to leave you the skates).

Description:There is no better place to visit especially during the Christmas period. A truly magical place, deep inside the arctic circle, surrounded by National Park, where the wonderful scenery, the magical atmosphere and, of course the cold, cold air combines to take your breath away, a place where all your Christmas dreams can come true. A traditional resort nestled in stunning woodland at the base of the Ylläs fell around the Äkäslompolo (lake), surrounded by the seven fells of Ylläs, Kesanki, Lainio, Kulaas, Kuer, Pyhatanturi and Aakenus. As far as the skiing goes Yllas fell boasts the longest down hill run in Finland, you can ski from the Yllässki side of the fell to Iso Ylläs on the other side, the altitude is about 718m, there are 69 runs of which 28 are flood lit. If cross country skiing is your thing there are 320km of groomed tracks winding their way around Äkäslompolo, 38km are flood lit, with 13 cafes (Kota’s) on route. The snow starts to melt at the beginning of May, heralding the start of Spring, when the soft green landscape of Lapland is one again revealed. Summer in Ylläs is pleasantly warm. You can escape the rat race to the peace and solitude where the reindeer outnumber the locals. You can go hiking in the mid-night sun, a truly unique experience. There are plenty of other activities such as Nordic walking, roller skiing, fishing, golfing or just relaxing in the sauna. The mid-night sun is between June and July. Our luxury log cabins are located in the picturesque woodland setting of Yllas, with access at the back of the cabins to the cross-country ski tracks. There is a 718 bus stop at the end of the road where you can catch the bus to the ski fields, the journey takes about 15 minutes. The supermarket is about 800 meters away. Very close to Santa’s house, so if you look carefully through the trees you might catch a glimpse of the man himself. Cabins comprise of either one or two twin bedrooms downstairs, there is a mezzanine area overlooking the open-plan lounge with a further two or three beds and a sofa bed. All of the cabins have an upstairs toilet and the larger cabins have a separate toilet downstairs. Blitzen cabin is wheelchair friendly - During the spring of 2010 we have been working on our Blitzen cabin to make it suitable for wheel chair users. The shower area has been modified to allow wheel chair access, there is a shower stool and grab handles to make it easier in the shower. We also have a shower wheel chair available on request. The downstairs toilet has also been fitted with grab handles. We have a ramp for the front steps to allow wheel chair access, but you will need assistance getting up the ramp. The ramp is only available on request. We can also arrange airport and station transfers that are suitable for wheel chair users. The trip companies we use are also used to assisting guests that use wheel chair and make every effort to make it an enjoyable experience. Each cabin comes with fully equipped kitchen including fridge freezer, dishwasher, cooker, washing machine and microwave oven. There is a drying cabinet for all your winter gear and a sauna for you to relax in at the end of a long day. Description:The resort is located on the shores of the Gulf of Bothnia in an area well known for its beach and leisure facilities. The Finnish west coast claims to be one of the sunniest regions in northern Europe in summer, where the sun shines for practically 24-hours a day. Each of the two storey units at the resort has a terrace and is well equipped with a sauna, television and video.
